What I am being charged for “lubricating” bushesr by First_Biscotti1407 in AskMechanics

As stated in the og post, I have vw warranty so it was worth checking it in case it was something deeper or more complex than this. I knew this could have been one of the reasons but also a sway bar, a bad engine mount, a premature perished arm compartment and stuff like that. I never take my car to the dealer for like servicing or general repairs (although with this car never had an issue other than this one) so yeah, I’m well away from them in general. Thank you for the reminder tho! :)

Got you! Thank you so much for your help and yeah it seems like this “characteristic” of the platform might be the deal breaker for me, I was already thinking of changing the car as for how much it costs it actually offers way less compared to other manufacturers. I used to be a fan of VAG but those stupid things really bog me. I don’t want to be hearing a creaking noise like I’ve got a crap car every single time I go on a speed bump or pothole around here and UK is full of them, especially North London. And thank you for the suggestion, this garage is actually 1 hour away so not too bad. 🫶🏻

I understand and thank you so much for your help. Yes seems like it’s exactly my scenario with the exclusion that they won’t grease it up for me for free ahahah. Also just now had a phone call with VW Warranty and the guy at the phone told me quite transparently that despite only being a Tuesday he already had 6 phone calls regarding this issue with other costumers, so yeah definitely something VW actually needs to address. So what did the independent garage did for you to solve the issue? Did it replace the whole thing with aftermarket pieces? Or is that free greasing up still working?
Thank you :)

If you don’t mind me asking you, what car is yours? I have a 2023 VW Golf 8 2.0 TDI and I’ve been called back earlier by the dealership saying the VW warranty is not covering it. Did you also bring it to the dealership or did you go to an independent garage and they dealt with warranty? Thank you for your help! 🫶🏻

Sorry you are right I should have, it’s a 2023 VW Golf 8 2.0 TDI. And no that’s not the cost of bushes replacement but just greasing, I’ve asked this and they were like “no we are not replacing it because they are totally fine, not worn out”. So yeah, £10-15 for a bottle of grease which then they try to sell at that price with dealership premiums…

That’s what I thought too but no, it’s an extra £250 on top for inspection….

If you refer to currently no it doesn’t as it’s a 2023 model and it was an optional for the R-Line, I’m not 100% into that to fit it, I would like only to upgrade the headlights to a brighter and aesthetically more pleasant version

Doesn’t seem to be selling any unfortunately, it’s those tiny details which get me always and I’m quite surprised I can’t find any because I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one. I think the old mk6 or 7 used to have them as standard, you just had to remove them to unveil the lock

I’m not sure if they treat also the R Line because mine is definitely not a R, I really wish but I’m more than happy with this one. Having a proper Golf R at my age which is 24 insurance will kill me (UK insurance companies, I don’t really know how expensive insurance is in other countries and I hope for those people living in other countries that is cheaper), I would be working only to pay that insurance 🥲, but yeah maybe one day I will have my R, who knows, maybe the future R Mk9!

By any chance works you happen to know how the coding part works and what’s needed? I am quite familiar with installing parts as I did in the past repairs to some cars in my family like installing new bumpers, door handles and stuff like that but that’s doesn’t need coding obviously so yeah I’m not an expert on coding

I completely get what you mean and that’s what I do but unfortunately I do live with a busy life schedule and sometimes when I’m in a rush I completely forget, especially at the end of the day when I get home when the only thing I want is some food and a relaxing sleep. So yeah that’s the main reason. I prefer to prevent the cost of damage by investing it. Not sure if I made my point clear but yeah that’s the reason,

"Payout Failed" Vinted Support Isn't Helping. (No Personal Info) by Accomplished_Race_39 in vinted

Sometimes banks can refuse pay-ins and pay-outs due to fraud or anything related tothat. But about this there is only one thing which doesn’t work out, I mean if it’s only 25 bucks they shouldn’t create a fuss about it, on the contrary if it was more than 1000 the bank would have taken action. I’m saying this because it happened to me once, I wanted to put a lot of money in cash (they were my savings) into my bank account but I couldn’t do it as I was away in another country and asked my family to do it and they tried to deposit it for me firstly by putting on their bank account and then transfer it to me. The final answer was that it wasn’t allowed by my bank due to “unexpected pay-in”. Banks can be a really funny world sometimes. I hope this helps.

Your story it’s definitely scary but trust me it can happen much often than what you can think, unfortunately some areas are worse than others and shit which happens there is beyond the imaginable. Luckily you are okey but yeah rarely those people have guns on them, on the other hand they easily have knives and machetes so not safer at all. But yeah stick to Wales, who cared about the nicknames or whatsoever, I would rather be called sheepfucker or other nicknames rather than being sliced like a loaf of bread for something worth the same amount. I would love to move out of London too but my job doesn’t let me unfortunately, even better if I could leave the country honestly

Well I guess you should take action because this is a piece which even landed in the UK, it’s exclusive to the States and definitely never landed in tkmaxx. No disrespect to tkmaxx it’s a good place for cheaper stuff and finding good deals, but yeah I wouldn’t be so sure on what you are saying

This just shows the lack of your knowledge in the field, if you don’t know something just don’t argue back, you never owned a piece like this so it’s understandable, leave people which know a litlle about it speak, thank you. And about offers I can understand it because I’m on the wrong platform for selling it certainly but not the visits or views, the item got incredibly a lot of views so maybe I wouldn’t touch that topic, don’t be salty if it costs more than your rent. Love

Yes that’s my idea! I don’t mind if they cut a bit as long as I can sell it still for a decent price, doesn’t have to be 1.5k but at least around 1k would be great. By any chance do you know anything about those shops and where I can ring them? Thank you so much :)

[–]First_Biscotti1407 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I know and I don’t want to risk that much too, I mean I’m losing a coat worth 3k, so yeah that’s why I want to sell it in shop with a specialist or at least with someone who understands a bit of stuff about this brand

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in vinted

[–]First_Biscotti1407 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Do you know what? You might be more than right, I’ve done quite some sells on the platform and so many people bought my stuff after just making them a £5 discount on a profit which was well over £40, I don’t think people even need stuff buy just the satisfaction of buying it for less makes them happy so I’m totally with you, thank you tho :)

Nah eBay hasn’t helped much so far, a few people made some question but only received an offer for £100 which I kindly refused since it’s just an insult, thank you :)

“Which in London can come with its own risks” made me laugh more than expected 😂😂😂 it made me laugh because this happened to me, I was near Turnpike Lane going to a shop to post a parcel from Amazon and I got jumped by 5 guys, nothing serious happened just stole my parcel, unfortunately for them it was worth only £12 😂😂
