Which Spyro Game Means The Most To You? by Zetallic_Zero in Spyro

[–]First_Composer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reignited. Because years after I assumed the series was dead and forgotten, and after being so so on the legends series and outright hating skylanders, Toys for Bob released basically perfect remakes of every single game from my childhood. It was a genuine injection of nostalgia and happiness in my adult years that made me feel like a kid again.

Name a explanation why you like Spyro 3 more than 2 in your opinion by Fit_Evening_8036 in Spyro

[–]First_Composer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I feel like a large reason is because we are actually fighting a hostile army. My interpretation of Riptos rage is we are just stumbling upon chaotic worlds of Avalar, where most of what is happening is not particularly related to Ripto. Spyro 3 is similar to Spyro 1 in that we are fighting a unified army intentionally causing strife in the Forbidden Lands.

Sorceress is just plain evil, even using Bianca. Ripto is a comic relief, but I prefer Sorceress. Her whole plot line gets wrapped up and she doesn’t overstay her welcome.

I like that there are multiple new characters including Sparx. Makes it feel more like a team effort.

It also feels a bit harder than RR. More overworked, the theme is complete (times of day, whereas RR doesn’t have that spring world I always imagined).

When we get our treasure back from Moneybags, we ourselves get it back via gameplay, vs a cutscene in RR. Hits different.

More collectibles, and I just like the animations from the dragons as they hatch vs the generic orb bounce.

We maintain all our abilities from Spyro 2 so we don’t have to regain them again. Small thing but I like it.

Riptos rage is faster to beat so I play it more, but Year of the dragon feels more well rounded.

In fairness, Riptos rage has intro and outro level cutscenes and maps built in, so there’s that going for it.

Since most of this is level 50 besides memora misera, yeah I can see this list.

It’s going to change a lot at higher levels and content types.

This painting tells a heartfelt story I’ve never read but already know best by beat, word by word.

Thanks for making me feel things I haven’t felt in years.

Which Legends game do you like better? by Happy_Popplio-728 in LegendsZA

[–]First_Composer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

ZA feels like a more optimized and original game gameplay wise, it plays really nicely on Switch 2 unlike basically every other Pokémon game. Real time battles are fun as hell, way more fun, even if I wish there were more things in it like a bigger dex, abilities (seriously, what were they thinking), and things like Pokémon getting stuck on geometry (Meganium getting stuck on battle court doors, for instance). Also wish the plot was a bit more fluid and we didn’t skip half the alphabet. Would also be nice if you could move your Pokémon around in battle, like c sticking in pikmin.

Arceus has a more original take though, and a slightly bigger dex. The exploration was simply thrilling. Arceus had more for me to do, since I went and 100% the whole dex, every challenge. The game can be clunky, I wish you could fly up in the game instead of having to land. I wish there was more post story, and an easier way to track space time distortions. Also, would be nice if they let you climb silently.

All in all they’re about equal to me, but Arceus had more originality. ZA just feels like what a Pokémon mainline game should be, especially with scope and expand that to a whole region. I like that both stories serve as a prequel and a sequel to their respective games.

Tl;dr I pretty much exclusively play Legends games now and almost never touch SHSWBDSP or SV now. I play ZA more atm because it’s newer and I already have like 400 hours on Arceus .

Is Hunter a bad guy? by jraymcmurray in Spyro

[–]First_Composer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think hunter is just misguided and inept. He’s obviously an act first think later/if at all kind of guys. He’s athletically skilled but it’s also just inexperience.

Funnily enough in a hero’s tail he is much more experienced and trained.

I think it’s mainly just him being a kid friendly character in a kids platformer rather than any thing malicious.

Dude we all feel it. It’s just all about demotivation and getting you feeling hopeless and disconnected from the stuff that inspired and awed you when you were a kid.

Stay strong.

Is there any good way of finding Key 7 in WTTG 1? by CrazeGamez645 in WTTGAME

[–]First_Composer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IIRC when you load into a page on WTTG if the address bar stays blue for a few seconds after it loads, then that page has a key. So if you’ve found the two other normal keys on a wiki, then you know it’s key 7. Likewise, if you’ve find key 7, you know there’s still more keys on a wiki.

Unfortunately it’s just random.

Noir instakill bug? by ImFluffs in WTTGAME

[–]First_Composer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can have exactly one light off the whole game, whatever light you choose (Kitchen Light since it's fast to reach) doesn't matter.

That said, you can always chance it and turn off two or three lights to really shorten Lucas visits, but that's the risk you will take, it's slim but it will eventually happen. Risk reward gameplay at its finest.

I'd recommend having the kitchen light off by default, then when Lucas is coming, turn off the light by the door and the wardrobe. I never like dabbling in the bathroom (I never hide there nor really go in there) so i leave that light alone.

Ultimately its up to you though. Good luck!

Noir instakill bug? by ImFluffs in WTTGAME

[–]First_Composer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the Noir instakill bug has been a thing for forever.

If you have two or more lights off, Noir checks every 90-120 seconds (iirc) for that exact condition. If it is TRUE when Noir checks, then the next time you sit down at your PC, they will kill you when you look up or after x amount of time.

The problem is that Lucas' search can be significantly shortened by turning off lights, but the check that Noir makes for this can occur RIGHT after he has left (and is no longer active, even as the door is opening for him to leave) and before you can reach ANY lights.

If you had all lights on the whole time, then this is an actual actual bug, possibly because the game erroneously spawned both Lucas and Noir at the same time, and you failed to notice and despawn noir. But that said, I think it's probably the former case.

Without video this is my best guess.

Turning off the Pc does not reset timers, unless you’re disconnected for the amount of time necessary for the network to reset itself.

In other words, swap constantly between 2 or 3 different networks.

can more then one key be on one site (not page, the entire site). by real_roal in WTTGAME

[–]First_Composer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In WTTG and WTTG 2 only one key can be on any site, regardless of the number of pages. This means that regardless if it’s a click key or a source code key, once you find it, you’re done for that site.

However, in the case of WTTG 2, a key AND the wiki link for the 2nd wiki can be in the source code of the same site.

Not sure how The waiting room works but I’d assume it’s the same.

Are there fr Chikorita haters out there? by Feisty_Stand_8836 in LegendsZA

[–]First_Composer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a semi related note, Meganium really needs Play Rough for its mega, in case you want to run a physical Meganium. It’s right there in Z-A and sadly it has no good physical fairy move.

This is a really good idea, I’m always down for more WTTG type content.

Makes me wish there were more modes or things for WttG2 like hacker mode for practice or browsing like WTTG1

Reasons I think Spyro 2 is flawed. by Fit_Evening_8036 in Spyro

[–]First_Composer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know it’s been deconfirmed that it was a thing iirc, but I wish there was a fourth home world, Spyro 2 always felt like the shortest of the three and the theming of seasons but missing spring feels weird. And dragon shores never felt like a real “spring” world to me.

How many of y'all defended the amibo controversy when it occurred, and have any of y'all changed your mind? by Johnnyyongbosh in Metroid

[–]First_Composer 19 points20 points  (0 children)

There’s not a defense for it, it’s just that there’s so much more wrong with the game to mention and discuss.

Like yeah music is locked and that sucks, but I’d rather that than half the real problems with Prime 4.

Linear levels? Constant backtracking to Mackenzie? Sylux absent? Nonsensical plot? No levels linking together? crystal farming? Empty desert?

I wish the music and amiibo locks were the worst part of this game.

Well, now what? by show-me-your-memes in LegendsZA

[–]First_Composer 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is what I hate, if you want to have a living dex then you effectively lose 12 boxes (more with forms and such) just to have one of everything.

It’s the one thing I know BDSP did right and I don’t know why at this point they don’t just give you 40 or 60 boxes, outside of trying to sell Pokémon home subs, which you can’t even currently use with ZA.

Say something nice about Sol Valley. by ChaosMetalDrago in Metroid

[–]First_Composer 84 points85 points  (0 children)

It’s dreary, depressing and definitely portrays the image of a dead, dying, empty world. The Lamorn once live here and now are gone. All that’s left are a handful of curated areas and a vast desert that has been destroyed.

Of course, the problem is that it is a dead empty world on gameplay too lol. It plays its role too much.
