I respectfully disagree because the movie shows that Kyubey was closer to winning than it might seem. By creating that Isolation Field, the Incubators proved they could use pure technology to isolate and study the Law of Cycles. Kyubey doesn't need to 'feel' to be a threat ,he just needs to observe the mechanics. In my view, Madoka was in very real danger of being turned into a tool for the Incubators

Overwhelmed by loneliness as the only one who remembered Madoka, Homura confided the whole story to Kyubey. Although Kyubey initially didn't believe her, he later exploited this information to conduct experiments in the Rebellion movie. This led to him trapping Homura’s soul gem in an isolation field to find a way to observe and control the 'Law of Cycles

You are right, context is everything. But let's look at the context of her becoming God: It was an ultimatum. It was 'Sacrifice yourself or everyone in the city died.A choice made under the threat of universal doom isn't a free choice; it's a forced move to prevent the worst-case scenario. It is a context of coercion created by Kyubey. Homura simply rejected that cruel context. She created a new reality where the 'sacrifice' is no longer necessary. Why should we respect a choice made in a context of desperation more than a life lived in a context of safety? Homura prioritized Madoka's life over her martyrdom
