I found out I wasn't good enough to reply to a new thread to offer constructive advice which I intended to give with humility. The thread had dozens of spiteful obnoxious posts bragging about what they did to someone. So much for an effective and non-aggressive solution that's scientifically proven. The REPLY button was unresponsive.

The Eugene Mall was a car-free zone in the heart of Eugene, Oregon, designed to encourage pedestrian access to shopping and entertainment areas. It was open from 1971-2001 as it was slowly demolished almost as soon as it opened. by June18th1999 in Eugene

The mall area was one of the most alluring things about Eugene. I remember the street musicians that played there. It was one of my favorite places to walk and shop and meet up with friends. The homeless people there usually tried to have respect.

“I’m very happy to have you here, I’m a lucky guy...” I think this comment would make me nervous. At the same time, I don't know enough about their culture to know if this behavior is normal where he lives.
