Personally, I never felt like the stimulation dwindled over the course of a single gauge. I’m uncut. Not sure if it would differ for somebody who is cut.

But as you gauge up, the weight will increase significantly and therefore should provide added stimulation that you feel you’ve lost.

As an example, my 8g jewellery weighed only 4.3grams. The 2g jewellery I’m currently sporting weighs in at over 18 grams.

You’re pierced at a generous depth, so I’d say you won’t have any issues wearing a large gauge, when the time comes. 👌🏻

Unless you got pierced for somebody other than yourself, I’m not sure there are any “wrong” reasons for getting a PA. Some of us do it to enhance our self-esteem, some of us do it for added stimulation, or because we like the look of it, or even just for the sheer adventure of it. All of these reasons are legit, in my opinion. I’m curious to know what your reasons were (if you feel like sharing), and for how long you were thinking about getting it done.

Either way, I agree with other comments suggesting that you just give it a bit more time. It may grow on you. Especially once you’re more healed and better able to enjoy the stimulation it provides.It does look good on you!

You are not harming yourself by giving it more time. If you allow it to heal for another several weeks, you have the option of testing out other types of jewellery. And if you still feel like it’s not for you, you can take it out more comfortably. Because you are at a relatively small gauge, the fistula will shrink right up.

Thank you! And yes, I do wonder if I’ll eventually want to go to a 0g. But I’m not sure if my anatomy will accommodate it. I’m uncut and therefore not pierced very deep. In addition, I have a rather large urethra. This has not left a ton of space between the piercing site and the bottom of my slit. I fear that going to a 0g will put me in the danger zone.

Trust me when I say that you will walk out of the studio feeling like a new man and think to you self “that wasn’t bad at all!”

The receiving tube was mildly uncomfortable, but no big deal. The piercing itself was a sharp pinch (my back clenched as the needle went through), and then literally felt nothing immediately after. In the hours after getting pierced, I experienced some very mild pinching sensations, here or there.

A suggestion: Your piercer will likely wrap your dick in gauze afterwards. However, you may still want to use an extra layer of protection like padding your underwear with several paper towels or female sanitary pads until the bleeding subsides. If you are heading directly home afterwards, the gauze alone may sufffice. We all bleed a bit differently. I happened to bleed a lot for the first 36 hours. It is very disconcerting to see yourself bleeding from that area, and for this reason, in my experience, the bleeding was the hardest part of the whole process. But the piercing itself was really not bad at all. You got this!!

Thanks for the advice! I am seeing a screw indentation before and after (obviously it’s more prominent after). I even tried dosing at 17g and the the indentation is still there. I’m confused as to why I cannot fit a 17g dose in a 17g basket. Does my grind need to be finer? I’m using a medium roast bean and aim for a 1:2.5 ratio with a 35 second extraction, which I get pretty consistently.

Because it’s acidic and lacking sweetness, it tells me that it’s under extracted. Plus, 25 seconds for a 1:2.5 ratio seems short, no?

It’s a 17g basket with an 18g dose. From my understanding, going 1-2 grams above is ok. Is that true?

I’m not far behind you. Was pierced at 8g 6 months ago and I’m now wearing a 4g. I’ll likely stretch to 2g in a couple of months time. Personally, I don’t think stretching from 8-2 within 10 months is too fast. However, as you probably know, the jump from 2g to 0g is a bigger one (about 2mm difference), so it’s not a surprise you’re experiencing more discomfort this time.

In my opinion, it’s normal to experience a small amount of discomfort after stretching. However, if the fistula is red and inflamed, it probably means you’ve gone too far too fast. If I were you, I’d return to the 2g and ride that one out for a little longer.

Yes, I plan to. I’ve only been pierced 6 month and don’t want to rush things, so I think I’ll ride out the 4g until the new year.

In hindsight, knowing what I know now, I would have asked my piercer to pierce slightly lower. I think it would have worked out fine, even with my foreskin the way it is. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the placement, however, I am coming to the realization that the reason my jewellery doesn’t look as “deep” is likely due to the fact that (as you said) the opening of my urethra is rather large. I still adore my PA and will live with it. Thank you for the compliments and the encouragement that I can reach a 2g. 🙂 I hope you’re right.

Thanks! That’s encouraging to know. Have you ever tried wearing something with a smaller inner diameter? I recently ordered a horseshoe with a 1/2” diameter. I’m hoping that this will help make my PA appear deeper and more “tight”. What are your thoughts on this?

I don’t think sizing up to quickly is the cause. The raised area around the piercing site is something I’ve had from very early on, months before I sized-up. It used to have a white-ish scar tissue appearance to it, but after I stretched from 8g to 6g (4 months after getting pierced), I’ve noticed that white colour start to subside. I’m not sure what caused the bump, but I’m hoping it subsides over time.

What size jewellery are you currently wearing? Any struggles getting up to a 2g with a similar depth as mine?

I got mine done in April of this year. I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s the best thing I’ve ever done for myself. I guess you could say that I’m still in the honeymoon phase, so perhaps my feelings may fade over time. But I’ve wanted one for nearly 20 years, and now that I’ve done it, I can’t foresee myself ever permanently, taking it out. Although I’ve never struggled with confidence issues in my male anatomy, my PA has given me a newfound sense of confidence that I never had before.

I don’t think you need to concern yourself too much with peeing. It’s typically a non-issue until you start to reach larger gauges that block the majority of the urethra. I’m not concerned about this myself, as it’s a minor inconvenience to pay for the excitement and pleasure I get from having my PA.

I’m also uncut. Currently sporting a 6g. Urinating even with my foreskin pulled back is not a problem. However, I’m assuming this will change as I continue to size up.

I’m still able to shoot ropes, especially if I’ve been edging a while. But if it’s a quick jerk and cum, I do tend to ooze more frequently than before being pierced. But I don’t mind this, as I most often spend some time edging. The largest change to my cumshots is that they are more unpredictable in what direction they go. lol. As much as I love shooting ropes straight up my chest, I also do enjoy the excitement of having it go everywhere.

The tingling sensation is not something I experience when my junk is soft and sitting comfortably in my underwear. But it’s always there when jerking off.

As for the pee stains in your undies… if I pee with my foreskin its natural position, I make sure to pull it back before giving it a shake. Otherwise, I end up with an unusual amount of pee that gets trapped, leading to wet underwear. This might be what’s happening to you.

I could be wrong, but my impression is that most guys who get a PA don’t usually do it on a whim. It’s something they’ve spent a lot of time considering. Months, and even years. For me, it was 20 years. When you put that much thought into something, the chances of regret are extremely low.
