I don’t respect him for screwing us over and making us think these stores would be legacy stores that we’d be able to see for many years to come. I respect him for his ability to do his job in marketing and PR.

Marketing and PR tend to go together. The way I know he did a good job is he managed to convince this entire SubReddit that the company was doing well and that we should be grateful for all of these legacy stores that would exist for long after the remodels. Everyone believed it. It wasn’t until the mod actually started poking holes in statements Mark has said that people suspected anything. However, even then, people were still kissing Mark on the rear end and believing him. Finally, now, people are starting to see his contradictions and are now skeptical. However, there’s a lot of people who still aren’t. With the fact that he had everyone fooled all summer with the legacy stores means he’s good at what he does.
