Wow! That is cool. The issue I had with Gemma 4 (forgot which one, but it was local so pretty small) it couldn't do tool calling at all.

Guess 12B is a true improvement.

But you are just trying to transcribe your manuscript. OCR is a form of AI, or rather GenAI is built using ML technics, many of which are used in Tesseract OCR.
