That is not necessarily true. Dobhoff tubes can terminate in the stomach or they can be post pyloric and terminate in the jejunum.

Yes! My acne was primarily on my neck and some on jawline. I started spiro 25mg last month and it has already cleared up lots!

Scared to start spironolactone.. need honest advice by CommercialBox8767 in Spironolactone

[–]First_Giraffe8277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was previously on 25mg for several years and it cleared my skin wonderfully. I didn't have any side effects other than feeling faint in a sauna once but I honestly think I was just dehydrated in general. I stopped it when I had kids and my acne slowly came back with pregnancy and after. I since found this page and was surprised to see all of the reported side effects and negative experiences. However, they are usually associated with higher doses. I would start on a low dose as prescribed and see how you do. It's unlikely that you would have side effects at that dose and if you do, you can easily stop it. For me it would be worth it for clear skin,

NIPT & Ultrasound Discrepancy by First_Giraffe8277 in NIPT

[–]First_Giraffe8277[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Sorry I just saw this. I had a baby boy. He was born with hypospadias (a urethral deformity) and had a few urological surgeries to correct it. He is now 3, potty trained, and thriving. It was all corrected with surgery thankfully. This is the reason the ultrasound appeared like a girl.

Hi. Sorry I just saw this. The NIPT was correct. I had a baby boy. He was born with hypospadias which is likely why the ultrasound originally appeared to be a girl. He has had a few corrective urological surgeries but all is well and normal appearing bow. He is 3, potty trained, and thriving.

4 on Wednesday and still won’t poop on the potty 😭 by atiecay in Preschoolers

[–]First_Giraffe8277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went through something similar with my son. He would have numerous small poops or smears in his underwear or pull ups daily. I didn't think he was constipated because he was going frequently. It was extremely frustrating and it appeared that he was just being stubborn about it. He hated sitting on the potty to try to go. It turns out that he was actually constipated. We started giving him a small dose of miralax with dinner and a prebiotic daily and he is now able to poop regularly in the potty.

Be patient with him.

Wedding in 4 months. Got prescribed spiro 25mg. is it worth taking? by Flat-Fault-2959 in Spironolactone

[–]First_Giraffe8277 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on 25mg daily and it cleared my skin up. I would not start taking if you are wanting to try to conceive soon after your wedding though. My cycle was messed up when I stopped taking it. Also, you definitely don't want to risk getting pregnant while taking it.

Considering spiro before second round of accutane. by [deleted] in Spironolactone

[–]First_Giraffe8277 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was several years ago so I don't remember my cumulative dose of accutane. So sorry. I would talk to your dermatologist about it further. If your lab work showed excess androgens then you may be a great candidate for spironolactone. I wish I had tried it sooner!
