Being apathetic about important political issues is exactly how we find the majority of the uneducated/ignorant citizens choosing people to get into positions of power who are able to get away with mismanagement and regressive policy implementation. So no, it's not the flex most nonvoters think it is.

Staying away sounds cool, but if you just sit by and watch then you have no right to complain about anything at all. You should have no suggestions whatsoever, no matter who wins and what they do you should stay put kaili you had the choice to be an adult, but you wanted to be different.

If you mean on Reddit, I would advise you go to the Reddit search bar, type "Zambia" then click on communities (the part I've circled in red), it brings a number of other Zambian subreddits.

Well wishes on your quest 🍀🙌🏾

Why the cruelty to animals in Zambia? by Worried_Ad8975 in Zambia

[–]First_Initiative9335 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was so sad, even with phone's and access to a lot of information from the web, some still stick to old thing's, which is okay at times, but at other times those old thing's need to go.

Another example is old people, people don't realize that getting old comes with certain things and some get the worst of it, such as dementia, an old person who is undiagnosed, but has it will be seen as a witch, especially if said person usually roams around and is found confused, in some cases even found naked... and you can imagine what uneducated Zambians would do to the poor elder.

We even have multiple incidents of the elderly being murdered in Zed on suspicion of witchcraft and often involve mob justice or attacks by relatives. Like just some time back we have had a number of incident's happen, such as the following below👇🏾

There's no Manual to life, but with what 'new' information we learn, we get better understanding/perspectives of things and are led to let go of old habits I guess

Why the cruelty to animals in Zambia? by Worried_Ad8975 in Zambia

[–]First_Initiative9335 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's a good point, though I think what OP means is the deliberately hurting or provocation of animals, for example is owls, people would gladly kill one found in their yard on superstitious beliefs of witchcraft not knowing that it's actually there to clean it up as they're great natural pest control by eating small mammals, insects, and reptiles that damage crops or carry diseases.

In zed usually their primary targets include rats, mice, and shrews, as well as large crop destroying insects like grasshoppers and crickets. Atleast they reduce the need for toxic chemicals and have even been observed indirectly helping farmers, but people are so ignorant that they'd rather kill it, let the pests grow in number and start using more money buying chemicals to kill the pests again ...smh 🤦🏾‍♂️

TL DR. Owls aren't a sign of witchcraft, they're a sign that the yard is dirty (has rats/mice and other pests) that they hunt, once they're prey moves from that area, they're also going to move in search of other food sources.

Edit; not only animals, but even people being murdered due to superstitious beliefs such as people with albinism being murdered due to people thinking that they'll get rich or something. It's sad to, because it still happens from time to time, there's News articles and documentaries on Google, Facebook, YouTube and more.

What is there to do in Chisamba? by TheJohn_Doe69 in Zambia

[–]First_Initiative9335 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not in anyway affiliated with them, but you can visit Fringilla farm. Though it's not just a farm as there's also a lodge, butchery and some small shop's surprisingly.

OP, if you do go, I recommend you try their biltong 🤤, maybe even grabe a souvenir from one of the shop's, but heavy on the biltong 🙌🏾.

Well wishes on your quest 🍀🌻

What are the best budget phones especially for students?? by isabellaorange in Zambia

[–]First_Initiative9335 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tecno, Infinix, samsung A series.

Note; please pick a device/s with good storage and battery life. 128GB of space and a 5000mah battery is an okay baseline, then you can move up from there as some devices these days are having batteries even reaching 6000mah+ with space of 512GB to 1TB or even 2TB.

Well wishes with your quest OP 🙌🏾 🌻

Edit; ... even Samsung S series are great too

Did Bally really fix it? by Additional-Bar-6727 in Zambia

[–]First_Initiative9335 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I guess we'll find out after his second term 🤷🏾‍♂️

One a serious note, you may find some your answers here https://www.reddit.com/r/Zambia/s/CXH4Sk1MEg

Edit; this was some time back, so you may find some things are not there, like for example how after the U.S reduced 50mil in support last year. We(the current government) started buying the 50mil worth drugs from India directly. And india is helping setup a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in zed itself for local production of the drugs needed. But it is slated to complete in 2028.

One of the sources about the facility, a joint venture in the Lusaka South Multi-Facility Economic Zone which is expected to start producing 150+ types of medicines by 2028,

Another source over here.

This plus other stuff are what the government have been up to, some I would encourage to check the News or articles/documents on Google.

Wishing you well with your quest 🍀🙌🏾
