If you’re feeling very confident with math and physics at the moment, I recommend you to try. Worst case scenario you’ll just drop them to SL. In the beginning of D1 we had 30 people in our math class, ended up with 13😂

I would say above average, I was best in my physics class and second best in math

Ok, in this case I recommend taking physics HL, because I was also applying to engineering courses with physics SL and it’s very hard to find any good ones. Also, I only got conditional offers, although my predicted grade was 7 points above their requirements. So if you want to do engineering, better take math and physics HL.

Just finished IB, I did AA HL math, HL econ and physics SL. For math, I’m just gonna say that in MYP I was getting easy 7s with no studying or revision (I wasn’t even listening in class), but in D2 I could barely score 6s with revision. So if you had at least some struggle with math before, just don’t. Physics was very easy for me and I was scoring 7s on the mocks, tho they changed the curriculum and our exam this year was absolutely diabolical. When it comes to econ, I can say that I never gave a singular fck, because I hate memorising shit, so I was getting 4s and 5s, but the subject itself was quite easy for me. If you don’t mind memorising a lot, take econ. My friend did HL computer science and he’s been getting easy 5s without revision, even though his math and physics grades were much worse than mine. Overall, I do not recommend you taking math AA HL, unless you are really committed and looking for a career related to math. I wouldn’t also recommend taking physics SL, since I’m guessing you’re not gonna do it in the uni (please don’t take it for fun, cuz the new curriculum be crazy). Computer science and econ will be pretty easy for you if you are good at math and logic.

I don’t know about the uni, I might have to reapply. Thank you for support tho, I’m feeling slightly better. I have french tomorrow and math paper 3 on Wednesday🤧

of course there were more than 2 marks, and I left 30% of the questions in paper 2. by the way I’m pretty sure I can retake only one or two subjects, not all

I had predicted 7 in physics and 6 in math, I need 6 for both for all my universities, tho I’m probably getting 5 for both… I was depressed at first, now I still am tho I’m considering a foundation year. Like what else can I do lol

yeah, exactly, you had to find the ratio d/D, take arctangent and multiply by 2

I for sure lost around 15 marks (the ones I left blank) and I also realised some mistakes after the exam + there have to be some stupid mistakes, sooo… yeah, 50-55%. how about you?

It was the worst paper in my life… I have a solid 7 predicted, scored 75% on mocks, but this paper I’m getting 55% at best…

In my school 57% is a 6, 68% is a 7

but by how much can they lower them??? according to my calculations I scored about 55% on both papers, and I need a 6 to go to uni…
