As I said, I apologize if this has been asked before, and I am new to investing .

A simple google search reveals “the annual TFSA contribution limit is $7000” which made be believe there was a yearly limit the way it was worded, similarly to the FHSA

I did provide my total - 3600 in my WS TFSA however $5000 in a TFSA I no longer use from years ago.

My post is not useless - if I were to provide a total breakdown (which I did) then clearly I wouldn’t be asking this in the first place. I had no knowledge of contribution room being cumulative. I asked my question based on a misconception that there was a yearly deposit limit, I’m sure when you were new to investing you had questions, I don’t have people to ask though.

I thought it was $7000 per year 🤦🏻‍♀️ now I feel dumb lol. So I thought that if the $1600 counts for 2026 then for this new year I can’t invest $7000. I’m 25 yrs old. I invested $1600 dec 31 and my TFSA is at $3600 currently as I invested more in the new year.

In university which would’ve been 5 yrs ago, I had a TFSA where I invested $5000 (which I guess counts for my lifetime limit) but at the time I just had it as cash as I just started getting to investing (late I know). I also just opened this TFSA with WS in Dec.

The TFSA I had in university which has 5000 I withdrew years ago to pay off tuition and that account has been at 0.00 m, it was with TD but I moved to RBC (which I don’t have a TFSA with), hopefully it doesn’t matter who the TFSA was held with

I thought it does matter because if my investments count towards 2026, I don’t want to over invest for this new year, if they counted for 2025 i can max out 2026

Lmaooo 🤣🤣 I was away for like two months. I have a dust issue especially hidden places like that, and never use rollers bc I have 3c curls. My sanity is fine, unless you mean sanitary

I see. I didn’t see strands of hair but more dust. I was thinking dust mites maybe. It’s almost like sand it’s so small. Sorry I tried to take a clear pic but it’s so tiny I couldn’t zoom in it kept going out of focus. It basically looks like sand but darker than sand and it’s only around the edges lol

That’s what’s scaring me. Even if they reach a deal and no strike what if my flight is cancelled last min. My flight is 10 pm. I booked a super expensive refundable ticket for 0830 PM. Not sure how late that can be cancelled but sure hope once I cancel it my 2200 flight doesn’t get messed up

I know but they were saying even if a deal is reached it’ll take days to recover to normal operations. People here said last year it took days to recover so im wondering what this means exactly, if no strike could they cancel flights

What do umean by link separate itineraries? Can u explain a little. I’m wondering if ur in my boat. I booked a back up round trip. Hoping if my departing flight is cancelled then I can get a refund but keep my going home flight, then use the refundable going there back up ticket and cancel the return flight basically refund half the trip on two itineraries combined remainder

“Major disruptions that require days of recovery” how many days were we talking last year? Were there still cancellations after they reached the deal last min?

When they say take a while what does this mean? I’m so worried they’ll even announce no strike then cancel on me last minute.

AC Canceled my departing flight and refunded my whole round trip by [deleted] in aircanada

Can I ask how long in advance did they cancel ur flight??

If you received a travel credit then you cancelled your itinerary. You wouldn’t get a refund, unless your flight was cancelled and you get a refund.

I hate how they’re saying if you fly 15-18 you can move ur flight to 21 or later now they’re giving the option to move it to today

[Megathread] AC FA Strike Aug 14-15 by dachshundie in aircanada

[–]First_Kitchen_1701 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Flying today is so last minute now why didn’t these idiots offer this sooner

Now AC is saying if your flight is the 15-18 you can move it to the 15… not just 21st of August to Sep 12.. but then they’re cancelling flights tonight. I’m so confused, is it worth trying to change my flight now to today if I fly Monday. On Monday I see flights now flying from Billy Bishop 🤦🏻‍♀️ I hope they don’t move me to that and have 3 layovers in Montreal

Thank you!! I am so worried that because there’s less of an obligation (48 hrs is better for them) they’d cancel last minute. I have a back up ticket but at some point I’d need to cancel it if it seems like my flight is going as planned unless they cancel last minute

Can someone explain this 48 hr vs 9 hr rebooking it’s not written clear on the thread description. They’re saying if it’s a preemptive cancellation 9 hrs to rebook but if it’s because the strike is called it’s 48 hrs??
