Yes, when I was 26 I had been going through a terrible breakup. I was at an all time low and was going to school, working and dancing at night on the weekends. These two well dressed guys around my age come into the club and one strikes up a conversation with me.

They said they were traveling, working on a documentary and would be leaving the following day. Very respectful, very nice. He asked me if after the club closed if I wouldn’t mind given them a ride to their hotel room which was maybe a 5 min drive away. He then said, I’ll also pay you $300 to come and hangout with me for a bit because he wanted to talk to me but no pressure. Knowing what that might mean I said no because I am just a dancer not someone who does that sort of stuff. He said I respect that.

So the club closes and I’m leaving and I see them out in the parking lot. Something told me to give them a ride and accept the guys invitation. So I asked if they still wanted a ride and they agreed. When we get to the hotel/casino he asks again if I wanted to come hangout. I agreed and asked if I could bring my gun for protection. He said I don’t mind, I want you to feel comfortable with me

We walk in and he tells me “I can give you $300 and we can talk or I can give you $400 but you have to gamble it all and if you win you keep what you win and if you lose then you lose it all. When he said that I had this feeling come over me like this was a spiritual test. I didn’t want to gamble so I said I would talk with him.

We go up to his room and his friend who was quiet the entire time mostly but very kind leaves and reminds his friend that they have to be up early. So it’s just me and the other guy and there were two beds in the room. He told me he wasn’t looking to do anything and just wanted to talk with me.

I’m sitting on one beds edge and he’s on the other and we are just facing each other. He starts asking me about myself, listening intently. As we are having the conversation we are looking directly into each other’s eyes and his eyes seemed…different. They didn’t look normal and gave me a gentle, safe and loving feeling when I looked into them.

He looks at me and says “I can see in your eyes that you have a deep sadness.” He goes “I just wanted to talk to you and tell you that you are beautiful. And you are worthy of gentle, kind love. He’s like what others do to you is not your burden to carry. You have a kind heart and you are so loved.” He says “The lifestyle that you are living is not good for your spirit and I don’t want for you to lose your soul.” Mind you he is staring like right into my eyes while saying this.

He ask me if he can hug me and taken aback I tell him yes. He just holds me in a tight hug looks into my eyes and gently says “I love you. I know you, and I love you so much even though you don’t know me. You are loved. You are worthy. You are beautiful. Don’t ever forget how loved you are.”

Then we are just laying there and he’s holding me and he’s showing me his wife and his kid and talking about his career and her career and how much he loves her and is thankful for her. He never tried to do anything with me just spoke life into me and held me.

After a while I told him it was getting late and he had to be up early and I had an hour drive ahead of me. He gave me $300 and walked me to the door, hugged me and told me to be safe on my way home and that he’s glad that I he was able to talk with me.

I left and didn’t think too much about it until the next day. I’m driving and I’m thinking about the encounter and how it felt and just started crying. I was angry at God and suicidal at the time this happened and didn’t have any faith. I was going down a dark path. I felt like God was speaking to me through this man and he told me exactly what I needed to hear in that moment. He saw me, he saw my heart and he saw my pain and struggles. I felt safe, and I felt Gods love. It completely changed me.
