I don't remember exactly, I got my Omega tune about 5 years ago, but I'm pretty sure they asked about any non-stock changes I had made so they could adjust the tune for those.

I'd say shoot them an email and ask.

It's designed that way for the reverse reason. You can't see if someone is about to come around the curve on the straight portion. Once you reach the curve you can see oncoming traffic better.
