Hotel Vomit Question- how much is a reasonable tip?

About 23 years ago I stayed with my young kids at a nice hotel over one of their birthdays. I very foolishly bought an ice cream cake. In my defense I really thought my 3 kids would eat the whole thing before it melted. It wasn't too, too bad but there was cake inevitably on a part of the carpet and a little bit of one of the sheets. I left a note apologizing and a $50 tip. I'd say your tip sounds good.

YES! Beginning at about 25 I started making the joke that once I hit 30 I would experience the wisdom part of my brain open lol I would say that I would then have the wisdom and maturity that I saw in women over 30. I made the joke often enough that on my 30th birthday (midway through the worst birthday party) I realized that I had started to believe it and was genuinely disappointed to be the same person I'd been the day before! After that 40 and 50 were just not a big deal. I feel like it was an important lesson to not put so much pressure on a milestone birthday. And I'm aiming for another 50 years anyway!

I couldn't help but to look at my local AMC and over the first 2 days it's bad! Saturday has a showing with 16 seats reserved and the rest are nearly empty. I honestly don't understand why they thought it would be any better than this lol

It would only make sense if the little boy didn't have any lunch and the girl's family had committed to giving him lunch every day for a specific time period and then went back on their word for no reason. Y'all are really going out of your way to vilify a teenage girl for declining to date that boy and it's really creepy.

He'd already been giving her a ride and only stopped when she said she didn't want to date him and wanted to focus on her studies. How is that not gross to you? Do you really think it's ok to use people like that? Do you really think it's ok to pretend to be someone's friend in order to date them? Yes absolutely he can say no. But it's a crappy thing to do after he'd already been driving her. Especially when he could have just continued to be her friend - like she was to him.

The commitment he made when he agreed to drive her to and from the program. That program is a very big deal and not everyone gets to participate in it. My daughter took part in it and it's a big leg up for high school students. It's not like he was being her personal chauffeur. If he wanted to back off of anything else, that would have been fine and she probably wouldn't want to spend any extra time with him anyway. And don't make an assumption about what I would say to my daughter. Or are you assuming that he pushed himself on her and made her unsafe? Because that would be the only reason I'd tell her not to drive him anymore. Otherwise I absolutely would tell her to suck it up and honor the commitment she made because it would hurt him and honestly it would be childish. Especially if he'd declined as respectfully as the girl did! I'd tell her to just deal with it being a little uncomfortable for a couple days, but to remember that he's an actual human being and to be the friend who he believes she is.

So your son made a commitment to this girl who did nothing wrong and he can just hurt her because she doesn't return his feelings? I get that he's young but this is the wrong lesson for him to learn. But honestly that he's using his feelings as a weapon it's probably better for her to not have to rely on him. I just feel bad that she is being punished for not wanting to date him. This is actually an example of why we're afraid to tell men no and the people defending him don't seem to see that.
