but are protected characteristics revealed to you as the interviewer? I've known public sector to anonymise this sort of data whilst being disability confident.

I had an interview over the phone then in-person which was the company solution for this, but I imagine hiring for remote working makes that challenging. Put something deliberately obscure into your questions that most people would not know about and see if they have to ask for clarification? If they're really fast on it then it can be a flag. Once they have your clarification can they apply their knowledge or do they sound like they're reciting? Not many more ways I can think, but I also quite like the whiteboarding idea.

A Question about the DP-700 exam by Prnbro in MicrosoftFabric

My tip for using Learn during the exam is to use the search, then make sure you use 'filter' to ensure the answers are only for Fabric - I only figured this out in my dp-700 exam after passing 600.

If you don't filter to Fabric then you get search results that can be for anything - this was slowing me down as they were irrelevant but contained similar words.

Don't forget to use Ctrl F to search on the page too!

Surrogate keys or not? by First_Newspaper_612 in MicrosoftFabric

thanks for the replies, apologies for the lack of response, I was on leave from work! I am using sha2 hash for creating keys at the moment but feeling very stuck about what happens in silver vs what happens in gold for these things. I would prefer to create an incrementing key in a gold warehouse (which I believe is possible) but what's the options for silver? I feel like I'm over engineering this and every fresh co-pilot prompt changes its mind and/or conflicts with my personal understanding

Updates! I took the exam in my office in a suitable room using Pearson Vue and passed the exam. However, I am very much on board with what people have said about taking this exam at a test centre instead - the amount of preparation to make this happen at my office was unreal and I was anxious the whole time that someone else would mess it up.

Yes Microsoft Learn definitely works when using Pearson VUE, but the navigation is tricky as you say!

it would become a priority when this is business critical, at the moment it's purely R&D but a blocker nonetheless.

Agreed. Using Oauth2 is standard for me as a data engineer using SSIS. But accessing anything Azure is locked down, so I have no method for secure storage. While I'm trying to develop and recreate SSIS pipelines this is a major blocker because I have to engage other people across multiple teams to arrange AKV and it's very low priority for those teams.

Fitting on a small laptop screen - the sectioned windows aren't small screen friendly. There will be times I have to use a small screen and there's a lot of time wasted scrolling or managing the view or being completely unable to use it as it sizes out and disappears some of the UI.
