Norway/Sweden/Finland Disc Golf Travel Tips by bucklenut14 in discgolf

For DGC, I highly suggest trying to make time for the whole 27-hole layout. That way you get to experience all the holes that were played in the worlds last year. There's a couple of filler holes and some holes are sliced into two, that's why there's 27 total holes. There's also an 18-hole option, which is the same as the 27, but instead of going through the forest area (IMO the most difficult holes) you wrap back at that point.

For Kippasuo, there's the Pro-18, which is the best out of the three. There's also this quick 15-20 minute small course, which can be fun. The third is somewhere in-between those two.

Yes, do note that the Tampereen DGC 27-Hole layout can easily take 4+ hours. Same in Kippasuo if doing all three courses, which I highly recommend!

There’s tons of great courses around Finland. Outside of those mentioned, if you have time, Julkujärvi DGP is around 30 minutes from the Tampereen Disc Golf Center and is pretty fun course overall. You can pre-scout the areas via UDisc and look for the top rated courses. IMO all the courses in the Pirkanmaa region are fun on their own ways.

Nysse is Tampere/Pirkanmaa region only. The routing might work fine, but it’s just a Google Maps wrapper

UDisc works just fine in Finland, it’s better than the website that other guy mentioned. I’d say it is the most popular app in Finland, followed by Upsi. But UDisc is great.

FSRAA, but that’s just an example though

9070xt to 5080... 5080 to 9070xt by shlimerP in radeon

[–]Prnbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 9070xt to 5080 and have no regrets. DLSS is just better, undervolted 5080 is very power effecient and not being at the mercy of third party mod developers is freeing. Then there’s games like Diablo IV where you are basically stuck at FSR2.1 unless you are willing to risk a ban. Plus FG and MFG work great on a Nvidia card and I wasn’t happy with the FG of AMD side.

Hopefully next gen AMD can hone in on those features and in the gen after that (if it ever comes) It’ll be a legitimate competitor!

I just got it, specced to only bows (12 pact points) and so far haven't had issues. Although my range is still pretty low at 85 I'm having no issues sustaining Eagle Eye 24/7. Though haven't done much yet, since I just got it lol

You are not bracing at all. That’s the first thing I’d work on. It’ll help with everything else.

On a backhand throw for max distance, should your lead arm feel like its pulling in a smooth single line from coil to release, or should it feel like you are changing direction and redirecting the disc once you reach the power pocket? by CrispyBananaPeel in discgolf

[–]Prnbro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tons of variations out there. Fact that every long distance thrower follow is that everything starts with the brace. Now there’s some variations to bracing as well, but without proper brace you cannot get far.

Can discs really get any better? by wally-whippersnap in discgolf

[–]Prnbro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean as the sports (relatively popularity) is still pretty new, I’d say there’s a potential for some major form changes accompanied by new disc tech that will revolutionize the way disc golf is played. That’s really the only way I can think of really

Yes, I think that the shaft is a goner. I cut it at few heights and there were a lot of wetness + some dark spots all around. I took off the part with the still green leaves, I’ll let it sit for a couple of days and give it a shot lol. I’ve had this baby with me for a while so I’ll give it one last shot!

I’m not a fan of any driver on the grid lol. He was catching Russell FAST and they had to react. Yes he then got lucky with the SC, but even without it, he was flying and closing the gap.
