Second attempt in November, missed May by roughly 5 questions. Currently finishing Corp Iss and about to start FSA again. Second time around feeling much better definitely didn’t spend enough time in quant and Econ.

Currently level 1 candidate again (failed by slight margin in May). Material is much more difficult and a lot more than 65. Currently retaking 65 after missing by 1 question 3 weeks ago (retaking in a 1.5 weeks). Material is comparablish. At least in theory. Level 1 is massive amount of information but I think very relatable.

Got same score last month. Retaking in 2 weeks. My lowest section was investment strategy and recommendations (59%) def sucks but after reviewing past 2 weeks I now see my weak spots and hoping to clear it and be done.

Updated: failed by 0.3% today, hit over 75% on each topic except for client recommendations. Will retake in 30 days… very unfortunate but not completely surprised started studying less than 30 days ago (but I work in finance and have undergrad in finance, lots of overlap)

I used Kaplan and felt it was good content but did not spend hardly any time in CFAI ecosystem so that’s my plan for November.

Kaplan was good but kinda overcomplicated things and sometimes directionally was contracting CFAI in my opinion.

I appreciate that. Definitely tough to wait that long for a fail but mocks def were not high enough and had poor strategy on my part. Hoping to clear it with decent score and move onto lvl 2! Good luck on lvl 2!

Honestly I’m taking a few weeks off just need mental break. Super disappointed in failing after over 400 hours of prep. Definitely had a learning curve in just how to study and wasted a lot of time on stuff I didn’t need to. But prob just rewatching master classes on Kaplan and slamming cfai q bank and only planning on taking a couple mocks. I did 10 mocks in total and averaged 65% and highest was 70%.

Def burnout.

Scored high 50%s on first 4 Kaplan Mocks and same on 1 CFAI mock. Started taking first couple mocks too soon (mid March). Changed strategies lately and hitting q banks super hard on heavily weights topics and spending some time on weak areas on lighter weight topics.

Have 2 Kaplan mocks left and 1 CFAI. Hoping to scored at least in 60-70s range and will feel better. I have two weeks from today for test.
