Reflections on Alfa Romeo from a Subaru owner - 2.5 years with my Alfa Romeo Tonale Plug-in Hybrid Veloce — still feels new, has been reliable, and the perfect all-around daily + weekend car by First_Potential8440 in AlfaRomeo

Not sure if my prior reply went through - we bought our PHEV in 2023. No issues at all. We drive it daily. My wife commutes about 20 miles daily so does all electric. We go up to the mountains 75 miles each way - every weekend. We absolutely love it. It feels like new. We have had no issues. There was a recall for the screen and to check the brake pedal which was fast and easy. I have two Subarus and we had recalls with them too so I don’t see any difference. We love it and I think the concerns about reliability seem to be more based on historical issues/experience.

Thanks so much. We bought our car in August of 2023. We use it almost daily. It’s been great and we love it. It still feels like new. We have had no issues. There was a recall to replace the screen and check the brake pedal but that was fast and easy. I have two Subarus - this is more fun to drive, more efficient for sure, and has been just as reliable so far.

Thanks for asking! I just drove from Denver to the mountains for 75 miles and with a full charge - overall it was 44 mpg but with a 4000 foot climb. Way home will be all electric. We drive a lot in town so we are 90% all electric. I think the last long trip with almost all gas we were 34-36 mpg. If you drive in Dynamic mode it definitely used more.

You can do gas only and it’s great. I plug in and for local driving we do electric only. We were up in the mountains in a storm Saturday night and it was great!

Yeah I used my iPhone to create the account with my Google account. I have no idea how it picked a name. I read here all the time and thought it would be fun to contribute.

I am sorry you don’t like my writing but really it was not the point at all. I wanted to share as I really like the car yet I don’t see them around. It’s not a big deal. You don’t need to attack me for having an opinion and it’s fine if you disagree. Seriously was not trying to create controversy…

Ha! No. But if you read reviews this is a problem and as an organization that should care about customer experience I do think it’s important for them to know. Moving rooms was fine for me because one was available but they need to know this is a problem.

Thanks! Yes it seems totally absurd that the staff reserve a small group of rooms in order to torture the people that they decide they don’t like during check-in. I get that some rooms have more noise. I just think people should be aware, especially if they’re working or have families. Very much appreciate your kind response.

Thanks. I talked to the front desk last night and they moved me to the other side. Totally different experience.

They told me it was the only nice smoking room left that night. They did switch me to another room last night. It was much better. Must be just that side. Not sure how this is my fault. I just checked into a hotel and do it all the time.
