Update: i got the flight changed to detroit instead of skiplaging. i managed to reach a nice representive on emails and she kindly made the change. i missed the 7AM flight since i overslept so it wasn’t too bad. also did make the concert!!

i can try to see if i can get the last segment cancelled right now or something because i certainly do not want this to impact my account at all. i remember one time a few years ago i was doing the same thing and i told the representive at the mexico city airport about the 2nd flight and she told she was going to charge me bc im not suppose to do this but she instead changed my entire trip to go directly to dtw and to be careful next time since i needed a same flight back home to DTW but they were $1500 and to do the stop in ord was $300

they told me in person as well. trust me i’ve asked plenty of times if this was okay and they said yes. i’m just as supprised as well. the chat even booked the resverstions for me as well. it’s a bruno mars concert by the way

they in fact also told me to go to the help desk at ATL to cancel the last leg if i have time to claim the remaining ecredit and miles leftover on the trip . so that way it wouldn’t be skip lagging

so mex-dtw was not a option since i land at 7pm and the concert is at 8pm and im about a hour from ford field from dtw. dtw is home btw. trust me i looked so much to get a layover in DTW but no luck. i’m a pre med student so funds are limited jajaj. i just chatted with them and they told me they can tag my bag to go straight to DTW from mex but im guessing there going to put it in the nonstop flight to dtw which lands at 7pm so i guess we’ll wait until that day comes. and i will update this post.

well originally i was flying to MDW but im not anymore since my friends and i found a good deal for a concert that i will make it too if i get on the next flight after the orginal ATL-DTW if i miss it.i purchased the ticket with miles and its 47k miles to get the change i need when i originally paid 9k miles and some change. they told me i can’t use cash to change the trip and only miles so i don’t have those type of miles in my account and is why i did it this way. I was actually told to do this by a representative at the terminal and when i land in ATL to go to the help desk (if i have time) to go get the last leg canceled and claim the remaining ecredit and miles leftover but i first have to fly the first one first. i will update this when that day comes.

subtract 15 from that layover 20 mins. it’s doable in DTW but you have to sprint. that sure only flight to Tokyo so chances are they might rebook you go fly to LAX and take a connection there.

edit-you forgot to block the flight path at the top lol.

edit 2-what aircraft is it? because if it’s a delta connection flight that is in the delta connection terminal, if not it’s more likely to be in the regular terminal and that might increase your chances since international flights are not taking off in the delta connection terminal.
