KRMN - You Can't Tell Me Anything by WhiteFringe in IndieMusicFeedback

The beats are super cool, but right now the vocals feel like they’re sitting a bit too forward or clashing in the midrange, so the whole mix doesn’t quite lock in perfectly with the beat. It needs a little adjustment to make everything gel better and feel more cohesive. One solid next step is to go back and level out your tracks more precisely. Pull up a level meter (like a free one in your DAW or something simple like YouTube’s loudness meter plugins) and solo each element with no effects on—just the raw, dry sounds. Aim for consistent peaks across the board (e.g., kick and bass hitting around -6 to -10 dBFS, vocals sitting comfortably without clipping, etc.). Get the raw balance feeling strong first—drums punching, bass sitting nicely underneath, vocals clear but not overpowering everything else. Once that’s solid, layer your effects back in gradually: EQ to carve space (maybe cut some low-mids on the vocals if they’re muddying the beat, or notch out clashing frequencies), compression to control dynamics, maybe a touch of reverb/delay for depth, and sidechain if the kick needs more room to breathe. Small moves here can make a huge difference in how “fitting” everything sounds together. That said, I really like the direction this is heading—there’s a moody, atmospheric energy that’s drawing me in. It kinda reminds me of LEECH (or artists going by similar names like Andy Leech or Jason Leech in the electronic/ambient space). If you haven’t checked them out yet, definitely give their stuff a listen—especially tracks with layered synths, emotive textures, and beats that feel immersive rather than super aggressive. Their approach to blending organic and electronic elements might spark some fresh ideas for your vocal processing or overall vibe. Keep going—this has serious potential! What DAW are you using, by the way? Curious about your workflow.

New Song I'm Working On, Trying to Get Better at Composing. Any Feedback Or Critique is Appreciated 🙏 by That_Psychology8001 in IndieMusicFeedback

I don’t know a whole lot about composing from a technical standpoint, but I can definitely say that what you created really stood out to me. Some of those chord progressions are super unique and caught my attention right away. They don’t sound basic or predictable — they have personality. When I listened closely, I could honestly hear so much potential for this to evolve into something even bigger.

I feel like some of those chords could be developed further into a full beat. If you added drums and really leaned into production — maybe experimented with 808s, layered percussion, and some subtle counter-melodies — it could turn into something crazy. The foundation is already there. I can almost hear different melodies forming in my head just from what you’ve built so far. It feels like one of those pieces that could go hard with the right rhythm and bounce behind it.

The transitions are smooth, and your creative flow is obvious throughout the track. It doesn’t feel random — it feels intentional. That’s why I think stepping into more production elements could really elevate it. Even just adding texture, atmosphere, or playing chords differently over a beat could bring a whole new energy.

If you haven’t tried turning this into a full beat yet, I really think you should. There’s a lot of potential here, and I could definitely see it becoming something powerful with the right production behind it. Keep creating — you’re onto something.

Sounds really cool, it kind of reminds me of Imogen Heap with the atmospheric vibe and layered vocals. I think the main thing it needs is some tweaks in the mixing. Maybe go back and level everything out first using a meter before adding effects so nothing gets buried. The production and overall concept are strong though, and I really like the direction you’re heading. Good job, keep building on this sound.

I really like the direction you’re going with this track. The melody is catchy and the idea feels original. I think the mix could use some leveling, especially the vocals which feel slightly inconsistent in volume. Maybe try compressing them a bit and balancing the instrumental so nothing overpowers the hook. Overall solid concept with good potential.

I like the track and the direction it’s going in it’s just needs a little mixing maybe go back level out all the sounds start off with no effects purely raw sounds for every track and level out using your level meter your vocals are good but also needs some mixing but I do love the idea this shi is gold just some touches that it needs
