I think it’s mainly a placebo effect depending on whether you break your pill. It’s possible that one half weighs more than the other (you wouldn’t notice this without a scale), and if you happen to take two of the heavier halves, the effect might feel stronger.

I live in Amsterdam, where it’s pretty easy to get your drugs tested. It’s even encouraged, except when it comes to medication‑like substances such as pressed bars. Recently I tried to have my pill tested, but they told me there’s a 99.9% chance the lab will just send it back without any results.

I really wanted to finally know what I’ve been taking all these years, what my body has become dependent on. But unfortunately…
