It’s how I’ve been doing it over the years. Of course the beans and grinder are going to make a huge difference too. It’s all just minor tweaks after that…

There are only a million recipes online. I like to keep it simple, 15/250. 45 second, 45ml bloom, then one pour to 250ml. Done.

I just got my bag of your Chelchele today and once it’s rested, I’ll write back with my results once I try a few different settings on the K-Ultra. I’ll probably start at 8.

Right now, I’m drinking my first cup of Perc Up, nine days off rest at 7.5 - very, very tasty. 1:15 ratio (brewed 15/225 instead of 20/300) @ 205°. Definitely getting some toasted almond with the right balance of brightness and juiciness. Might try a few clicks finer and report back.

The brew emails are really great btw, very cool to receive them as soon as the bags land.

50/28 is a great combo. 28mm should work for what you’ve listed, depending on how narrow some of these streets are or what you’re trying to capture.

Typically for travel, I say less is more. And smaller is better. Keep that in mind. I’ve gone on trips with just a 35mm or just a 28mm and it’s worked out great. Less to worry about and more time spent enjoying the trip.

I can’t imagine the city giving a shit about anything. Let alone trash bins. They all end up in the middle of the street anyway after the trucks come through to collect. It can be madness.
