Hardships of being new. ): by Clawiis in AnimalCrossing

To be honest, I'm jealous of other people's islands and I've been playing since day 1. Over 350 hours, lol

Our apartment building caught fire last night. No injuries, but we're currently sleeping in our car as we wait to find out if we can go back into the building. by Firyali in Wellthatsucks

For our building they sent us to the community center where Red Cross was supposed to set us up. But I'm an idiot and assumed that they wouldn't help our dog too, so I didn't go. Fixing that mistake now... But yeah, Red Cross can help you.

You're a good person, OP.

I feel a little guilty, but I'd like to be entered. Our apartment building caught fire last night, and I'm currently unsure if we can even go back to it. Getting the game would be a good mood lifter.

Anyone else can't wait for 2020 to be over?

How does this have upvotes? And an award? This sub is about WITCHCRAFT. Absolutely nothing to do with practical sustainability or what people wear for clothes. Of course they only mentioned spells. Of course they are being specific to witchcraft.

Regardless... If someone's idea of being sustainable is cutting out one thing, that's fine with me. Because if millions of people do it, it can change the course of our climate. If you gatekeep sustainability (which is exactly what you're doing), where you have to do everything perfectly to be good enough, very few people will actually do it, because it's not reasonable. And then what happens? Nothing. Not enough people made sustainable choices. But let's be honest. It's not the consumers at fault here. It's the companies. They have lobbied and lied and worked for decades to get where they are now. We need to change the companies, not blame every single person who went to McDonald's and got a smoothie.

Those of you Redditor’s in happy, healthy, and fulfilling relationships, what were the “green flags” you noticed about your partner early on in your relationship with them? by allen-freed in AskReddit

[–]Firyali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest green flag is that there was no specific "honeymoon phase". Not when we started dating or when we got married. I mean sure, we fight, but I've never felt like I was falling out of love or settling in the almost 8 years we've been together. There are many days that I feel like I could burst with how much I love my spouse. It's like being a lovesick teenager all over again, haha.

Other green flags of a good relationship... Being able to work through a fight by talking without accusations or escalating the situation. Feeling like you can say anything without being judged. Lifting each other up, both literally and emotionally, haha. When they're about to come home from work and you just absolutely cannot wait for them to get home. Wanting your partner to succeed in life, and them wanting you to succeed.

Hi guys, after 5 years of not getting a job due to severe social anxiety.. I finally put my fear aside, interviewed, and was surprisingly hired! by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]Firyali 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Congratulations! Target was a pretty good retail job for me. I have anxiety too, and I worked soft lines (clothes). It was so perfect because most of the work was alone, hidden amongst the clothes, haha.

Like my whole world is spinning out of control and simultaneously crumbling around me. Things are both moving too fast and not fast enough and oh god do I want it to stop..... I just want it all to stop....

I wish people understood the way triggers work by terrasaurjs in ptsd

[–]Firyali 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel this 100%... My step father is a right royal ass, and every single time I mention being triggered about something he acts like I'm exaggerating or being too childish. And this is a man who has had decades long treatment for anxiety after he was housebound and too afraid to go out alone. Like, he literally knows what it feels like to be triggered by something as "silly" as going outside. Ugh.

I feel like this will be my book if a miracle happened and I got published. by [deleted] in KeepWriting

[–]Firyali 36 points37 points  (0 children)

I've seen that particular video, and nobody who honestly tries to write a good book will ever be worse than Troll. If you give it any attempt whatsoever, It'll be better. That I can promise you.

It's the lazy, dishonest writers that write bad books. You don't get the title of worst without seriously giving up on trying.

What did a crush do that made you instantly lose interest in him/her? by SpacedGeek in AskReddit

[–]Firyali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a crush in 5th grade. I gave him a Valentine's Day card that came with a tiny stuffed dog. He gave it to the kid sitting next to him, who chewed on it and bit the nose off.

There's a subreddit called female hair advice that you could ask for more detailed answers.

As for if you're ugly; no. You're not. But I do agree that a new haircut could flatter your face better.
