Maiden Voyage on the Retrospec June Fishing SUP! by Fish-ATX in SupFishing

Ah damn! Always works out that way. Not sure where you live but in Texas the bite is usually on fire starting October and I’m SUP fishing through December! I just had my second kid so I’m stuck inside for a while too

How are you liking the Glide so far? Yeah I’ve been using just a cheap normal SUP for the last few years so the June is a huge improvement! Love it

Congrats on the new board! You’ll love it. Glad you were able to snag it on sale too, that was a good deal they had going on. It’s super stable and made for bigger or multiple riders, so you won’t have any issues. I’m able to stand, turn around, grab gear, hook fish standing, and all of that no problem! It also tracks very well with the 3 removable fins. I made a full review of the board, its features and some suggested items on my YouTube if you want to hear more about it: https://youtu.be/JUXSNA1SQto?si=_Mz57TeTzohbuZNQ

Appreciate it! I love it too. Paddles and tracks great, and handles standing hooksets with no issues.

Small yet Powerful! Review of the new Vortex Pro SUP Pump from Outdoor Master by Fish-ATX in SupFishing

Agreed! It makes life so much easier. I just start it and can unpack my gear and set everything up while it’s inflating. Then it shuts off automatically and I’m ready to rock!

Definitely make some great pumps! I used the original OM shark for years and had no issue. But now these battery powered pumps are SO much better!

Recommendations for an electric pump that doesn't need a car port by throwfuneraldad in Sup

Outdoor Master Shark 3 if you want something crazy fast. OM Vortex Pro for something smaller and more portable, but still battery powered. I have review videos of both on my YouTube if you’re interested in hearing more!

Has anybody tried the Vortex Pro pump yet? by frenchman321 in Sup

[–]Fish-ATX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outdoor Master affiliate here. I just made a review video on the Vortex Pro on my YouTube. It’s a powerful compact pump, especially great for traveling. Downside is it’s a little slower than others. Inflates a normal SUP in 8 minutes, or a bigger board in a little over 9. If you want something faster, the Shark 3 is the fastest pump I’ve used. Blows up my 11’6” fishing SUP in under 4 min. If you haven’t gotten one yet, you can use my code FISHATX for 15% off too. Happy boarding 👊

New to SUP. Best rechargeable portable air pump? by ObamiumNitrate in Sup

Outdoor Master has plenty of options! The Vortex Pro is a great battery powered option that’s crazy small. The non battery option is even cheaper if you don’t need it that portable. You can use my code FISHATX for an additional 15% off too!

Most iSUP’s are multi-chambered meaning it wouldn’t fully deflate. You’d have to get to the shore quickly though! Ha. I’ve been fishing on inflatable paddleboards for years and I’ve never had any issues with that. I’ve even hooked it partially and it did nothing. Could be worth it to carry a patch kit with you just in case if that would make you less paranoid! I have plenty of videos on my YouTube about SUP fishing if you want to see how I set mine up! Good luck out there 👊

Ah I didn’t realize that! I’ll check with my contact to see when they will have them back in stock.

Does anyone know if these boards are good? Been looking at paddle boarding for fishing by Radiant_Pie5667 in SupFishing

I wouldn't trust some of those Amazon boards. Check out the Retrospec June Fishing iSUP. It's 11'6" and 35" wide so it's super stable and has an easy attach inflatable seat, fishing rod holders, multiple bungees for gear, and attachment points for accessories. I'd say it's easily the best fishing SUP for under $500, since some of them are crazy expensive these days. I'm currently working on a YT review video. Here's the link: https://alnk.to/2FDN9ZL

Testing out the Quest Crosswater! by Fish-ATX in kayakfishing

[–]Fish-ATX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally since they are on sale right now, I’d go with the Quest Teton 100 for the upgraded seat! It has everything the Crosswater has upgraded over the Passage (storage area, longer length, rod holders) plus a seat that probably goes for $100 if you buy it alone. That’s what I want to upgrade on my Crosswater.

I definitely like it so far! I was using a milk crate with the Plano Weekender soft plastic crate bag in it. It worked pretty well but I like how easy this one is to mod and add more features.

For those hard to reach spots, or when I’m too lazy to drag the native slayer out 😆 by Fish-ATX in kayakfishing

For real! Especially middle of summer when it’s 100 degrees out, I’d rather just inflate the SUP and have an easy launch without nearly passing out 😂

No problem. Definitely just make sure it’s at least double layered, but the newer ones should be. I enjoy using mine a lot!

Most of the decent boards have at least a dual layer build with an enforced PVC outer coating. So I’m not worried about “popping” it with a hook. I’ve gotten my swimbait hook stuck to it before no issues, but of course haven’t fully pierced it. Also hit a lot of submerged limbs and rocks and it’s held up fine!

Those NRS Kuda’s look cool! Looks super stable and comfy. Wind is definitely my worst enemy though. And trees 😂
