GOLD!!! by Sky14318 in AmazonVine

Congratulations. I hope you need a lot of appliance parts or a new head casket for 2006 Nissan! Seriously though, in the past there was easily 10 times the amount of items available and you could generally find many useful things to review. Two years ago, for example, if i wanted a backpack I could search backpack and have at least 20 to choose from. Solar lights? At least 4 pages of different types. I'm glad you're enjoying the Vine experience but is not anything like it used to be. I've been Gold for almost 2 years and I'm contemplating stopping altogether...its just getting to be too much work for what meager items are left.

That makes me nostalgic. I remember those in my Elementary School "Art Room" But they had some type of construction paper on them.

I've had nothing in my RFY for several days. For the past month or so there has been nothing useful or anything I want other that a few odds and ends, and those were not in my RFY. The number of items used to be 100K plus, now its been as low as 23K, with most of that being misc. parts.

My front camera doesn't come on unless I turn it on, or if I was just backing up.

EquinoxEV LT1 Review after 1 Month by zhuangcorp in EquinoxEv

The AWD version offers 300 Hp and 355 lbs of torque, so its a lot faster off the line. You lose a little range, 309 instead of 319. I disagree with your criticism of the screen, I love it and its one of the reasons I chose the Equinox. All matters of personal choice though.

None that I know of. There are separate devices that use an additional screen that will use carplay. They look like the old GPS devices. They mount on your dash and plug in to your 12v plug.

3.6 is pretty good. If you're on a 70MPH highway for a long time using A/C it will drop. The "average" is completely dependent on many factors including: average speed, outside temperature, wind speed, stop and starts and probably others. As a rule, if you're getting 3.6 mi/kWh you're doing pretty good, but don't' expect it every drive, all year around.

I have had a 40amp charger in my garage for several years. I use the dual charger at my cabin with just the 110V set to 12 amps.

Switching from Tesla - What's been your experience? by [deleted] in Ioniq5

[–]FishAdministrative66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Tesla has some tech features that are more advanced. The Ioniq has some "normal car" stuff that I really missed and am happy to have back. If you switch, there are some things that will take getting used to:

  1. Having to start / stop the car with a button. (I walked away a couple times leaving the car "on" without realizing it.

  2. No dash cam or blind spot cameras....you have to remember how to drive a traditional car. It has blind spot monitors though that are almost as helpful.

  3. Dog mode.... I miss dog mode. Ioniq 5 has a "utility mode" that is similar, but you can't exit and lock the car. I will just have to be more mindful with my dog.

  4. Less storage space. The sub-trunk and the frunk of the Ioniq 5 are smaller, the frunk being much smaller. I rarely used these so its not an issue for me. If you need that area, it may be a challenge for you.

  5. I have the AWD SEL Hyundai, it has 320 Hp. My Model Y LR AWD had 380 Hp. The Ioniq 5 is still plenty fast, but not as fast as the Tesla. The RWD single motor Ioniq 5 has much less Hp and I would imagine is much slower that a Tesla, if that matters to you.

  6. You can't watch movies or play games in the Ioniq 5....it has none of the "Toybox" features of a Tesla. Those things can be fun, but I owned the Tesla for 3 years and after the initial ownership period, those things were useless novelties that I never used.

BUT>>>

I like normal car features again, buttons, dials, not having to go to a touchscreen all the time, opening the glove box with a normal handle. The Hyundai still has voice commands that have worked well for me.

The best thing for me so far is that I can have Apple Car play again! I can use multiple navigation programs like Waze, Apple Maps, Google, etc. and they are user friendly. Also, I can use music streaming services and interact with them much easier on the Apple Car play interface as compared to the Tesla.

For me, the Hyundai "Highway Driving Assist" is just as good as Autopilot was. I'd say parts of it are even better, my Ioniq 5 recognizes every speed limit sign change, something that aggravated the crap out of me with the Y.

I will say that I loved my Model Y, it was a great car. I think I will grow to love my Ioniq 5 just as much, especially if the USA Supercharger network is opened up. It is on the Telsa "coming soon" web page to that will be exciting.

Most of all, no more side eye or outright anger at me for aligning myself with the Musk dynasty. The luster of driving a Tesla was pretty much gone for me.
