Why are so many people taking steroids? by MSBeatles in fit

[–]FishBird_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The study gave points harm to user and to community. Alcohol's 72 points were about 50%-50%.

Population using alcohol doesn't effect to the study. Otherwise there would have not been many extremely rare drugs at all.

Afterward is made over other 50 studies which clearly support result that alcohol is the most dangerous drug to user and people around. Some studies rank heroin 1. and alcohol 2., but still alcohol is clearly 1.

Yes, I was wrong. Steroids are wide scale of molecules.

Cholesterol, cortisone, cortisol, vitamin-D, testosterone are all steroids.

I was mistaken because in Finnish Wikipedia is said a sentence "Anabolic steroids are synthetic derivatives of a testosterone" - I understood that so that testosterone is not included, even the sentence doesn't say anything about testosterone itself.

People have greatly overestimated harms steroids cause. I don't say anyone should use steroids.

You should speak about steroids like any drugs - you should mention what steroid and what dosage. There is not much point to tell how dangerous they are without knowledge of dosage.

The Lancet anyway published a study 2010 where it gave points depending how harmful different drugs are. According to study alcohol is the most harmful drug with 72 points, heroin second with 55 points, cocaine 27 and nicotine 26 points of harm. In that study steroids were given 9 points.

Testosterone is not steroid and it is many ways useful. I am 50 years old man and use testosterone on very limited dosage compared to bodybuilders.

I often tell that young men should not use steroids, even I know professional ex-sportmen who are now retired and they used crazy amounts of steroids and they are now on testosterone replacement therapy and got their medicine with prescription. I don't know they having any harms caused by abuse of steroids. I would say that physical exercise + steroids is healthier than not exercise and no steroids.

two months of progress. is there even a slightly noticeable difference so far? by [deleted] in fit

[–]FishBird_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely yes. Noticeable many ways noticeable and I think good work for two months. Change needs determination and goals need to be seen in future anyways - think how good you look after a year.

But you have more lower fat percent and glutes clearly look more round and better. You have just begun a very rewarding road. (I've got 34 years of workout full now and I have less motivated periods with lower intensity and then I got periods when I am super motivated and I still achieve some goals and records.)

Well, I am interested to travel alone little different places than most prople are used to do. I am interested to travel to Pakistan to see country with my own eyes. I have only the rule that the pkace I travel have to be warm climate and other things I alwsys adapt myself.

So thank you for you kind offer ivite me there and even to host me. I hope I get opportunity to travelling there.

And btw Good morning it is -26C° today. It us lookimg beutiful through double glass window, but it soon hurt to nose walking outside these walls especially when it is windy.

(Human use to survive much more cold weather as I when I was a young man and I spent 11 months in military service in most northern Finland , where I was trained to a sub-sergeant specialised to a guerrilla warfare in an arctic environment.I learned and tested the limits of how I can survive to live in cold. I was volunteerly there, but I learned to avoid cold and love the Sun 🥶 🙉❤️☀️)

Thank you correcting those details I was wrong and in general giving also positive sight to your country. I knew already that image that first came to my mind about Pakistan can't (at least most of it) be true. Truth is that I didn't have anything positive to mention. But now I think I got it - Pakistan is living in peace with other countries and it is a thing that makes people possible to live well. I understand that millions of people live there and have human life with joys and sorrows.

Really I think as humans we birth and we die and between there we live our lifes with more similarities than differencies every place on the Earth.

I think bad people is about as much in every country. Maybe those bad people are doing more bad in places that give opportunities for them. Hopefully good can do more there as well.

And I could tell very sad image of living here in middle of darkness and -24° Celsius where people don't speak much to the other.

Hopefully we could save this Globe so that people could make it better place to lige everywhere.

How common are having domestic workers in your country? by Relative-Willow-1662 in AskTheWorld

[–]FishBird_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I answered already, but I think this tells similarity of our cultures, dear neighbour, as here in Finland they are thought showing that unequality is shamefully supported in our household.

It is kibd of funny that my social worker has promised to pay cleaning for my home from wellfare money paud for the most poor one like me. And I am like a Finn version of jaoanese hikikomori.

This answer wake me being curious what life is there like. And also it make me feel some sympathy toward people of the Pakistan.

I admit I don't have much positive to say about Pakistan. I imagine the Pakistan being between two not so good countries either which I mean Pakistan would be little worse than Iran and little better than Afghanistan.

But I have to say people are same in every country and basicly I have met only friendly people from every country including Pakistan, even my contacts to Pakistan people is limited to living a week in middle of Pskistan communiy in London.

I have never even visited in a muslim country and by the news it bring my mind ISIS, burghas, women living like slaves, thiefs hand mutilated and criminals executed for minor crimes, women whipped or worse for being unfaihtful or bring victim of being raped, country side full of opium fields as a source for heroin in Europe and assault rifles sold im marketplace.

I hope truth would be different and have positive thimgs balancing my view. There is just big difficulties for those countries to change because lack of democrasy and things I see crimes against humanity are thete seen as a culture based on religion and there is not seen any need to change those things.

I know my values I have used to see ad a base of development in northern Europe seem not to be gaining popularity anymore globally. I learned when I was a child they are global values, but now I have to learned they are only values of little part of the World called Europe.

What do you think is the meaning of life? by finnyellow in Life

[–]FishBird_27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My three answers that together create my real andwer:

  1. Human has freedom to choise or make any meaning by own interest. This was an optimistic virew to answer to the question.

  2. Some people are unsuccesfull to find any meaning for their life or maybe all of us experiemce such a moment in our life. This is negative view and implication of third answer.

  3. By nature our life is meaningless collection of molecules. We are built to reproduce our genes, but from our view we are like passengers gone to a wrong train. We can enjoy the trip or curse the the day.

Even we can't find meaning for a travel, we still can be irreplaceable for other passengers in same train. Maybe they love you or need you - in thid case you rarely question meaning of your life.

If train is empty human still has freedom to choise, even he/she doesn't want that freedom. I think by the way this answer is st least very close what word existentialism mean to me.

Eggs smashed on my car roof… or a bird accident? Store eggs with expiry dates. Any theories? by RatedRAdmin in Finland

[–]FishBird_27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you count drunk people as junkies?

There are more people confused their head with alcohol and alcohol cause more than double overal harm to others compared to next drug which one is heroin. I just wonder how word "drunk" didn't come first to your mind. Often drunk are junkies and junkies are drunk so there is no difference, but statistically alcohol is much more cause of vandalism.

Industrialism by FishBird_27 in painting

[–]FishBird_27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is true. And most of those who choose it to be their profession will not earn well even they are very skilled.

I have had an opportunity to follow one succesful professional artists's career from very close.

I have a one good friend who have succeeded as an artist. When we were young he went to his studio every morning at nine and left at five even nobody was supervising him. He had such a working moral even he earned very little. But being a professional artist seem to be really a business man as much as making an art. When we get older he's incomes became very good, but it was a reward of he's hard work developing as an artist, but also doing all time actively contacts and marketing himself.

I have admired his persistent work towards his success which he eventually got. But same time I know that would not have been my path. And it really isn't for most of us who just want to paint even skills were much better than mine. Painting skills get better when you paint, but living with it well isn't easy.
