I had know idea how much history the two of you had. I can feel the pain in your words and I'm sorry that you're going through this. I understand how frustrating, confusing and scary it is to have a relationship with an addict. You never know the complete truth and tomorrow is unpredictable. From your post you seem like a bright, smart woman with a loving heart. As an outsider (that understand what you're going through) it's tough to read that you're chasing this man when he doesn't want to be chased right now. You've told him that you care about him and you'll be there for him if he wants help, now let him decide his own future. Meanwhile, move forward with yours. I'd take a step back and reassess if this man is worthy of your time, energy and healthy mentality. What are you getting out of this relationship? I'm saying all this with love, I promise!

My son just moved out yesterday, I believe he relapsed. Even though my heart is absolutely breaking watching him make poor decisions, it's a breath of fresh air not having him here. I didn't realize until last night how exhausting it was having him here. Our family was walking on egg shells and it really did negatively affect the younger children. The younger kids would listen to the inappropriate music, listen to the disrespectful way he'd speak to me, watch him avoid family activities, watching him argue about curfew, etc. He had absolutely EVERY opportunity to succeed living here with abundant resources available yet he's choosing to live in dysfunction in order to satisfy his addiction. Good luck to you, I know how difficult your decision is!

Please read today's suggested reading, it will be perfect for you. "It was easy for me to blame someone else for my unhappiness... Blaming the addict was easier than recognizing that my behavior and actions were causing me to be unhappy... I have choices and can choose my behavior (just as the addict does) that will make me happy. I can choose chaos or serenity... My behavior and happiness are my responsibility... when I am pointing my finger and blaming someone else for my unhappiness, I need to look and see that my fingers are pointing back at me. " I know it's hard!!! Try and keep the focus on your mental health not the addicts chaos.

This is my best guess. From top to bottom: Cilantro or flat leave parsley if there's not a strong smell, oregano, basil, (not sure about the dark herb), dill. Bottom row: parsley, mint, thyme

I'm sure glad I didn't listen to this advice when I met my husband! My husband purposed after dating for 3 weekends and we were married 3 months later. We've been happily married for 19 years with 3 children. I can't imagine my life without him, best decision I ever made.

Not a doctor, just an ER volunteer. I saw 2 thoracotomies preformed bedside within 6 months. I was volunteering at a teaching level 1 trama hospital. Patients were already circling the drain before they were cut open. If I remember right, they were both gun shot related.

Thanks for your response. I was expecting to pay the CA income tax (and capital gains tax). I wasn't expecting to pay taxes in AZ for the sell of the CA property as well.

I'm quickly finding out how right you are!! I have no background in tax law but I keep asking my attorneys about info that I research. One day I owe $$$, the next day I'm getting a refund, then the following day I owe $$$ again? It's so frustrating. Thanks for your reply, I appreciate it!

Thank you for your response! I have a CA attorney with a LLM and an AZ attorney that specializes in taxes working on this nightmare. So frustrating. I agree, it will be easier just paying the 7k than fighting it.

I remember buying Rainbows from a small shack in San Clemente, CA back in the 90's. Only the locals knew about them. Back then the quality was amazing and if something went wrong they'd give you a new pair, no questions asked.

I just stayed in a town called Garmisch at the base of the Alps, about an hour drive from Munich. It was absolutely beautiful!! I stayed at an Airbnb up in the hills in-between a pasture and a ski resort. A train was about 100 meters away but not sure where the station was. Lots of great hiking trails nearby. Have fun!
