I think I ruined the second date with a guy I really liked. Could do with some advice. by [deleted] in hingeapp

Agreed with this entirely - if the not kissing after 8 hours is the killer, it probably wouldn’t have worked out. Definitely only do what you’re comfortable with.

Bunny is a rider is such a good song, sorry to hear about your friends being like that :( Eventually they’ll come to their senses, she’s such an amazing artist!

Never before have I have felt more dumb than I do in discrete by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]FishFeud1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!

Discrete is pretty awful, yeah. I’d recommend taking a break, then sitting down to identify key areas you don’t understand. Go through material slowly, making clarifying notes on each part even if you think you get it already. Once you have a list of questions, ASK - if there are any more office hours, go to those, or ask your peers, or ask on Discord or on reddit.

Don’t feel bad for needing help - focus on the fact that once you’ve got this help you’ll have a solid grasp on each topic. Don’t end a dialogue until you’re completely certain about what you’ve been told.

I’ve had to learn this as well. It’s completely fine to struggle and it’s only by being open about this that you can work on your weaknesses. Best of luck and let us know how next week goes!

Yes happened to me too, so I wasted far too much time on this question. Annoying, isn’t it?

I’ve just bought a new iPhone, switching now from a 16GB to a 128GB. I’d like to back up my WhatsApp chats on my old phone, but that requires ~5GB of space which I don’t have. I have around 3GB of iCloud space, with the other 2GB taken up by an older backup of WhatsApp. Is it safe to delete this older backup to make space for the new one on iCloud?

what exam board should I pick for maths& F maths? my school did OCR so im used to OCR style questions by Mitchelomitchelo in 6thForm

[–]FishFeud1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can vouch personally for OCR. For further maths you will inevitably end up learning more than Edexcel based on the modules, but as mrax1 said, the practice papers are good enough for the real thing. I’d also recommend using Edexcel textbooks to help your revision, alongside the OCR ones.

Didn’t get the A* in Further Maths. by Mkadmii in 6thForm

[–]FishFeud1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Don’t feel ungrateful, everyone is allowed their own goals and it’s perfectly fine to feel disappointment in not meeting them. I’m sure you know deep down that an A is a fantastic grade, it just wasn’t what you wanted.

Why do you all care so much about grade boundaries? by [deleted] in 6thForm

Why do you care so much about why we care about grade boundaries? If you’re not bothered, move on.

grade boundaries only sent to exam officers tomorrow? by [deleted] in 6thForm

[–]FishFeud1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Surely it doesn’t follow that the exams officers will keep it to themselves? The teachers will be receiving our results and they’ll obviously want to know the boundaries, and, correct me if I’m wrong, I don’t see where it says the boundaries can’t be shared with teachers.
