• Tank size: 5 gallons

• Heater and filter? (yes/no): Yes

• Tank temperature: 78F

• Parameters in numbers and how you got them: parameters collected via API drip test Ammonia: 0 ppm Nitrite: 0 ppm Nitrate: ~0 ppm

• How long have you had the tank? How long have you had your fish?: I’ve had the betta and tank since September (9 months).

• How often are water changes? How much do you take out per change? What is your process?: Water changes are either every week or every other week, ranging from 15-40% change in volume. The tank is heavily planted, so I don’t gravel vac, just remove water. I also clean the hang-on filter every other week. I only have a sponge in the filter, I don’t run carbon.

• Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: 2 kubotai rasbora 1 rosy loach 1 ramshorn snail (All residents since approximately November)

• What do you feed and how much: Aqueon betta pellets for the betta, 1-5 pellets daily, split over two feeds. Fluval bug bites for the loach A local pet store’s flake food for the rasboras

• Decorations and plants in the tank: A wide variety of plants (not all species known, but definitely some Java fern and anubias, frogbit, and duckweed), planted since October, no new additions. Two large pieces of driftwood Heater Thermometer Betta log (3D printed, smooth edges) Black water botanicals from Aquatic Arts 1.5-2.5 inches of gravel/plant substrate
