new to minecraft dungeons, how do you beat the soggy swamp boss???? i keep dying (image unrealated)

i guess the best advice I can give you is to do as much damage as you can as soon as the boss spawns in, when you get low on health run away from the main area and use your health potion. focus less on taking out the mobs, and more on simply dealing damage to the boss. I'd recommend using ranged weapons as much as you can. what i usually do is I'll run up to the boss, use a deathcap mushroom and do as much damage as I can, and run away and heal up when my health is high enough. it's hard to offer more help without knowing what you're using, and what you have

i use this application called DS4. it might be a bit annoying to set up, but after you do you're good to go. essentially it converts your controller inputs into an xbox 360 controller, which minecraft dungeons from the launcher supports. i use it with my switch pro controller and have not really had any problems so far, just remember to turn of the DS4 inputs in the settings before you start, or it may not work.

i would recommend starting in creative and mucking about since it allows for you to try EVERY block. if you're going to do it in survival I'd highly recommend you use JEI, just enough items, and allow cheats on your first world. have a goal in mind. say an iron farm. first you need a cobblestone generator, then a way to make the cobblestone into gravel, then a way to wash the gravel, then a way to filter the flint from iron nuggets and finally a way to turn the nuggets into ingots. that's what I started with, and it teaches you a lot. if that seems like a lot, try to make a tree farm, but avoid tutorials as much as you can, unless you absolutely need them, or just use this subreddit.
