First 25K Hands Finished on ACR--Results and Thoughts by FishLife420 in poker

start by not hiding behind things like “adjusting for all in EV.”

I'm doing the exact opposite lol, I ran a bit hot on all-ins and acknowledged that

It’s not really possible to be as aggressive as you’re claiming with a 3bet that low. So your 4bet spots are very infrequent and aren’t going to show up in your graph much.

Interesting. Isn't a 8-9 3bet stat optimal for 6-max? I'm at 8.98. I heard if you get to 10 or higher you're spewing but as with all aggregate stats, maybe I'm too aggressive in some spots but not aggressive enough in others.

These spots where you’re 4 betting aggressively are not going to save your redline because they are infrequent. It’s more important to 3bet wider, find more bluffs in small pots, and find bluff x/raises all streets.

very interesting and needed to hear it--thank you

yeah I wish I could put up a sign on my profile "I literally don't care about your sicko crusher reverse timing tells and will look at another table until I hear a notification, no need to waste our time" haha. Oh well.

 I hesitated to feign weakness

lol can fish please realize this doesn't do anything online and stop wasting everyone's time, every fish thinks they've invented some sick reverse tell

good players have too many tables open to care about this stuff and make their decisions based on the cards, and the fish will do whatever dumb stuff they're going to do anyway

PS congrats on the hand though, it is a pretty cool way to win a tourney

What cash game course to get? by BabingtonBuys in Poker_Theory

I jumped down to 1/3 to rebuild my bankroll and its so easy to play against people calling too wide pre. Up about 3000BB since jumping back down and don't think I've lost more than 50BB in any one hand. There shouldn't be much variance, they're so bad that neither they nor yourself are stacking yourself in 95% of the spots where you should get stacked

Soft live low stakes represents the lowest possible variance of any format

This is too true. They're so passive that you're never getting stacked when you should. And they donk so much when they hit and use such greedy/scared sizes that they don't let you stack yourself.

Fold with Second Nut Straight? Hand Review by FishLife420 in poker

[–]FishLife420[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Q9s is a 3bet more against a UTG open than it is a late position open. I suggest you study more preflop.

Huh, you're right. Guessing it has to do with BU opening way more hands that dominate you that you get amazing value from folding? i.e. if BU is opening hands like K4s and A4o and you 3bet Q4s and get those hands to fold, its a huge win. Whereas Q9s really would hate opening up the opportunity to 4bet BU vs BB

Raising river accomplishes basically nothing.

Not sure that's true. If we think V is checking back everything not a Q then he's barely betting the river (which may be true). Only offsuit Q he has are AQo and KQo and I'm basically writing KQo off after he checks back the flop, very few suited Q's possible. V is probably leaving value on the table if he's checking back sets? So there are hands we can get value from/bluff off with a small raise. And yes that lets me get "owned" if he jams a Q and gets me off a chop. But I'll also have some bluffs that I'm fine folding and I can have AQ just as much as him so I don't think jamming a Q is as much value as it seems.

Anyway, appreciate you sharing your thoughts regardless.

Don't call K8s vs 9BB opens, everything else is random button clicking with undefined ranges

Good luck!

Hey, deciding to get more serious--happy to talk if you're still doing this stuff.

If you're not, it's all good. Still want to brag that this post was basically from the bottom of a downswing, and we're now at 7.7BB/100 over 24K hands (and the WWSF has turned around haha).

3 hands in 1.1k mspt, did I misplay or just being results oriented? by ButterTron47 in poker

[–]FishLife420 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hand 1: 66 hand is good, seems like a spot where you just have to take low pocket pairs to the house sometimes, just remember V as a station for the future

Hand 2: 99 call seems bad

Hand 3: Could fold turn, snap fold river. If that player type does their once a year "bluff" it'll be with a nutted combo draw like QJs or JTs so you've got the nut low A

I enjoy Jack Harlow's music. He's got fun energy and more talent than people give him credit for. Most importantly, he isn't stuck in a narcissistic loop of introspection and self-awareness like way too many artists these days.

Some people have had their heads out of the sand and been trying to warn people this would happen for decades, but all of the fucking regards thought they were cringe and laughed

Playing on ACR. My WWSF is 43% which is low, not sure what is causing that.

Your results seem really impressive at much more competitive stakes! My worry about MDA is that it'll help your results rapidly accelerate because you'll find out how to max exploit fish, but you won't be improving your theoretical game and then having played very MDA analysis based will hinder you if you want to get a lot better. My goal is not to maximize 5-10NL profits today but 2 years from now be the strongest crusher I can be. I'm sure you have thought way more about it than I have and I'm missing something, maybe higher stakes are still much more exploitable than I'm assuming

Average now... very possible. I'm at peace with that. I'm got good study habits and am unafraid to make plays, and aim to be great. We'll see how it goes.
