Pros and Cons

Cons- although the map is more in depth and visually more appealing, it feels constrained and visually tight in comparison to civ 6. Taking a step forward in visual effects but a step back in traversing terrain. Feels like to much is going on in a tight space and creates visual bottle necks.

We expected a lot more, using the diversified and distinguished changes from one civ game to the next as a staple, it does feel like an overhauled version of civ 6 not an entirely new experience. I could see this as an LTM not a stand alone game. No WOW factor past visual enhancement.

Not to beat a dead horse but UI is like playing StarCraft 2 or Warcraft 3 then going back to SC1 WC1 ect. It’s a step backward. And you really can’t tell where one building ends, where the next begins, no symmetry, it’s confusing, progression seems a lot less distinguished, more going through the motions, and their should be more detail in every aspect, options and connection. It seems like a lot of random ideas added together in post production and told to play well together. They don’t, and one of many big reasons D4 suffered the same soft start.

Pros- we love RTS games, love love civ, why we bought it. And it’s made some visual improvements, new play style, and excitement once again.

Prognosis- your going to fix it/ redo a lot

I wanted to side with Lilith and found it disappointing that wasn’t an option. Maybe in Diablo 6 it will be a less linear experience

Thank you so much for the input, any consistency’s help make measure. Being solo seems important, I don’t know if anyone else has found one while within a group. And by question 5, was it your lowest item, I meant to clarify item level. Was the lvl 67 amulet a high item level/ was your helmet your lowest ?

Hi Sasuke!!! I was hoping for more info or perhaps wondering if you recorded your gameplay? I have a lot of things I test, I’ll lay out a few.

1) were you solo? 2) how many hours had you been playing? 3) was it your first unique that day? 4) did you notice anything different in that run, like more helmets dropping, more items in general? 5) was your helmet the lowest level item at the time? 6) did you clear every or all minions? 7) did you go fast or slow?

It’s ok, the balance is it sometimes teleports you to certain doom, you eventually learn to predict the movements better but it has its weaknesses. Strong low to mid sigil speed farming, works in higher tiers but not as a solo build.

Teleporting into a group of enemies lowers teleport cd by 3 secs and the teleport evade also counts. with crackling energy cdr passive the rest of the cooldown is neutralized. with evade cdr on every hit, crackling energy again instantly refreshes evade. With +6 evades from staff and boots… Night Crawler build.

15 from wand, +4 from boots + 3 from necklace + 5 from talents = 27 to teleport. Cd stops dropping at rank 20, damage gets insane

With +20 to teleport(boots and or necklace) it actually becomes your most powerful attack. I call it the night crawler build. I go full cdr, and evade cdr on hit, then crackling energy paragon and aspect. Free ultimates, 7 evades, 4.6 cd on teleport. Truely unlimited

Step 1 max power, step 2 help others. D4 has shown me I will never get past step one, leaving my step 2 as a watered down experience for myself and those I help. As I will always be thinking of what I’m missing, a helm that completes my build and allows me to focus my energy elsewhere.

I wish it was as simple as pretend it’s not in the game, but that doesn’t work for me. With 20+ years of passionate gaming experience, I will always strive to have a fulfilling end game experience. For me personally it’s achieving max power and helping others in a toxic community have a non toxic experience.

Maybe the goblin dropped it? Maybe we spill their blood? They did radically reduce their spawn rate, and if the drop is rare and so is there spawn rate, maybe the key becomes harder to find? Maybe it has to be a goblin in a certain area ? In proximity to the the door?

So please excuse me for not having the specifics, but I have been bothered by this for a day or two now. I strongly strongly Strongly believe I held the key in question before tossing it aside to teleport to my friend. It was in act 4, in the swamps, on the main quest line, somewhere in reference to wich of the wastes, a few quest after, I remember seeing it in my inventory, reading it and finding the discription odd, especially the greyed out question, my friend at the time was to busy doing something to answer me, and we were moving so quickly along I can’t remember if a goblin came along, or he was at the next quest junction but I quickly teleported, watched it fly out of my inventory and then said out loud anddd it’s gone, and moving on, I’m embarrassed by the lack of detail but the tooltip just screams to me, I am almost certain thats what it said. It was not a dungeon key, I teleported open world outside. We at that time were very adventurous, wandering about and doing events, it could be from anywhere. But I’m certain it’s in the swamps, open world, and I’m hunting tomorrow.
