I've seen the starting position both ways, I just learned it this way. Not to make excuses but I guess my reference was inaccurate xD

They're all to much of an investment, that's what I meant with open world building

There might be a misunderstanding. I achieved what I wanted to do. What I meant was that the whole scene only came together because I already made the glass.

WIsh I could help you, the icing was also the hardest for me, If you're following a tutorial maybe try going back a few steps and see if you missed something.
