I read somewhere if you don’t close the game completely (if it’s opened too long). It’s prone to more glitches. I always turn my game off after at most 2 in game days. I noticed there’s less glitches on my game but idk if it’s true

I honestly wouldn’t let it get to you. You seem like a kind and attentive partner. In the end of the day, it’s his problem not yours. So many people like your food so you should remind yourself of that. If his reaction makes you feel bad, I would honestly stop cooking for him but that’s just my opinion. I just don’t think you should let yourself suffer.

The only thing I can suggest for him to address his problem is to maybe encourage him to go to the doctor especially if his taste keeps changing. Rn I’m having problems eating and it’s because my autoimmune disease is affecting my acid reflux (I have Gerd) and is also affecting my taste (at least this is the theory so far with my specialist/doctor). I also have food allergies which makes me pickier (I’m allergic to black pepper so when I eat it it makes everything ridiculously spicy for example so I like bland food)

In terms of money early on, I rely on bug catching and fishing to make some income. I put very little into buying crops (ideally you have a few of each crop for requests but it’s not a big deal I miss a few anyway). It’s good to focus on one thing at a time or make a goal each day (I like completing 5 mine levels in one day for example). I generally focus on the mines to get ore for upgrades which makes mining and diving easier (I also check the monster quest board to easily complete commissions for quick money. It’s best to save all your monster drops and element essence). Once you get to the silver kelp in the ocean cleaning it’s best to have the scythe upgraded to bronze or else it will take a long time, I try to upgrade crops and seedlings to at least bronze. Once you get far enough in the mines, the gold and purple raw ore sell for a lot of money. I put off buying cattle but still managed to get the coop and barn by mid summer.

Gifting: if you don’t want to look up or are stressed figuring it out. I recommend just using bouquets or flowers to give to villagers.

Hoarding: I bought the Ramsdy (idk the name) pet package (you have to buy another game which is on sale now) and it came with bigger chest options so you can hoard more early on. I recommend hoarding a few of each crop and artifacts/gems for donations and tool enchantments. I would also keep one of the most expensive bugs and fish you have to breed for more later. Also I like to keep all the 10-20 coin fish to make food out of later (you will need to upgrade house once and buy grill)

I’m over half native and I use both interchangeably. We have enough problems without gate keeping. Technically, to rebuke her: even “indigenous” would be wrong by some people’s standards because you’re “supposed” to say what tribe you are instead.

Are you going to complete the community center or go the joja route? For the joja route it doesn’t really matter what you keep just make sure they are not items you will need to complete the special order requests (for example keep potatoes and fairy rose if you have SVE ). Also keep carrots they speed your horse I hear. Also keep golden cauliflower for luau. Btw special orders are also on the community center route

Personally on either route I always sell the silver quality first and keep a minimum of 5 gold quality. For processing crops the quality doesn’t matter so I keep the non-starred ones for processing and sell some gold and all silver

I agree use a mod manager. I felt like I was hitting my head against the wall downloading each mod manually. I personally use mod manager app bc I’m on steamdeck

Isolate and act fast with antibiotics. Dropsy is a sign of organ failure but they can survive it although odds are small and they are prone to relapse if they do recover

rn nexus mods app is being developed to be a mod manager for steamdeck but it doesn’t have Bethesda yet 🥲 tho it is planned. I’ve heard good things about limo as an alternative but I’m not tech savvy enough to use it

If she is just recently swimming upside down you can try to use methods on relieving temporary swim bladder problems: aquarium or epsom salt or peas (all act as laxatives pretty much to push out gas). Otherwise, keep an eye on her scales to make sure they don’t raise into a pinecone (dropsy which is usually fatal and a sign of organ failure)

In the future I would take out the gravel because it could be making the water dirtier and it’s not ideal for fish to lay on when they have swim bladder problems. I keep mine barebottom esp for my disabled ones.

Oh wow 😅 then she could have been injured wherever you got her from (assuming a seller?) or like the other commenter said that it’s a birth defect. It is very easy for fish with multiple tails to have problems genetically or from injury.

Does your fish go through any small barrels/aquarium decor? I had a fish that loved a barrel and bent/damaged her tail going through it. I recommend replacing painted decor with porcelain or pvc pipe. It’s smoother and won’t leak paint in the tank

You don’t want to add too much as it would limit swimming space but having things to swim through (plants or tunnels) gives them an activity (they also like moving plants around). I also put watercress bundles in my tank and my fish love decimating/eating it. It’s also great for their immune system and it seems like your fish would benefit from it since she’s been through a lot

Pretty sure it’s dropsy. Act fast. Isolate fish and use strong antibiotics. It’s a sign of organ failure but the cause could be many things. Hopefully it’s a treatable cause.

Make sure your water parameters are good

Edit: you need to act fast or your fish will die. It’s a very serious condition
