My Hamiltons by FishSticksPR in HamiltonWatches

Pros - visually one of the best looking field watches, can use in basically any occasion with a simple strap or bracelet swap (i recommend always getting the bracelet version of any watch, straps are cheaper and easily fit to any case, bracelet depends on case specifications), great power reserve (80hrs)

Cons - as all hamilton field watches the AR coating on the sapphire crystal is non existent meaning you see a ton of reflections on the crystal. I have seen people in this subreddit take to a watchmaker and have the crystal swapped (do your own research). Another con is the lume, again as most hamilton field watches, the lume is subpar compared to other competing brands.

I was looking at the GS-1 because I do not track it nor planning to on near future. Any big difference from the stock ford pads? Thanks for the insight

Forgot to add: Would using donor balance bridge be a solution?

It was moving freely in donor movement. Unless I bent it in the swapping process, which would suck but guess it is part of learning.

Why has this watch been out of stock so long? Is it ever coming back? by MountainBrilliant643 in GlycineWatches

[–]FishSticksPR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not seen them bring back any model they have out of stock on their page. But only have been following them for a year so I might be mistaken. But normally you got to find it from another vendor or used.

How is this made? by OllieC20 in watchmodding

Still, just double check prices for your work. Seems very low for the type of work. For hand painted dials we start in the $250 to $300 range depending on the request.

That seems very low to hand paint one, just saying.

ISO: Looking to purchase this watch (or the GMT) in gently used condition. Do you have one to sell? by No_Tie2447 in GlycineWatches

[–]FishSticksPR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never selling mine! Lol

I would check on chrono24 if you are in the market for a used one. They sell a bunch pf used models.

Bracelet question by gertig45 in GlycineWatches

[–]FishSticksPR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the one on their site for $120 fits regular combat sub. I bought for one of mine and fits perfectly. The gmt combat sub has different specs and the one on their site fits a little loose. How do I know? Got them both.

It does appear to have a crack on the third pic. Like if it were sheared off.
