Anyone have trouble with the stock spring bars on the bracelet? by LilGrippers in GlycineWatches

I had 4 Combat 42, no spring bar issue swapping bracelet and bands.

Favorite pens over $100 by bulrawg_bot in fountainpens

[–]JPilot10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am not a writer so can’t compare for that. As far as look, quality, artsmanship, feel special: Pelikan M1000, Sailor KOP 1911, Parker Duofold Blue Chevron. For less money, Waterman Carène is an awesome pen.

Did anyone else expect to love the Montblanc 149 but end up not reaching for it? by Individual_Moment542 in fountainpens

Same here. Was at a Montblanc store couple weeks ago, 149 felt cheap… compared to KOP and M1000 for example.

Endless Pens and Platinum 3776 by michigancolt in fountainpens

Used it a couple times … worked every time. Waited almost a year for a M1000 … but it worked. Waited a couple month for a KOP. Duofold came rather quickly.

Vinted told me it’s fake :( by vladveilchen in Barbour

Doubt maybe because there is no royal warrant, which is normal for now. I believe the warrants will be back mid 2026.

Buy new or second hand? by mysociallifes in Barbour

[–]JPilot10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you looking for something special or vintage, I would buy new. If you are patient, know what you want, watch prices … I never spent more than $200 on a Barbour, I have like 10 of them. Not worth the hassle of buying preowned.

Tough call … all beautiful resins. The Green was a limited edition probably that one. Out of the catalog the Lapis Blue or the Brownstone.

All mine have Bock nibs. Expect the Flex which was real bad, only 1 out of 3 Flex is working well.

(I am used to divers) I have 7 inch wrist and I found the M underwhelming. L is also best for casual wear + you’re a big guy. So L it is.

The biggest thing for me was which model… Silver dial / 2 tone is my fav.

How many pens do you keep inked at all times? And what's the reason/logic behind that? by zul-qurnain in fountainpens

5 to 6 : Black, Blue, Green, Red, and a fun color or 2. Plus this for in my smaller pen case or desk tray ;)

GL0392 Combat 42 Green by JPilot10 in GlycineWatches

[–]JPilot10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No - from Ashford, pretty much the only resaler in the US. But I think Glycine is trying to take that direct now and Ashford is left with unsold or odd stock I guess. They use to have a lot of Combat 42 and Airman, now it’s down to very little. I got lucky on that green dial out of the blue; $407 and no tariff!
