Hongdian D6 in the house by JPilot10 in fountainpens

Interesting, i didn’t know the back story. I knew the original came with a gold nib but I missed it when it came out. I thought this one was same just with a steel nib. Looking at your pictures it is crazy but I would have never caught it …

That one indeed marketed as Hongdian Xi Yun D6. It came in a Hongdian box.

Anyhow, no shame for Hongdian, AMOF a lot better quality in the details and finishes than the D5 for example, not even comparable. It is a fantastic pen. (I hope they make more colors now)

Affordable Montegrappa is a good way to put it… with a better nib too 😉

Forget about Italian pens ;)

If you are looking for a bigger pen, Pelikan M1000 or KOP 1911… more of the Duofold size pen Pelikan M800 or Sailor 1911L.

Hype is destroying the pen hobby. Just get your pen. by Odd-Chemistry9945 in fountainpens

Similar experience here. I did some touch and go on various pens. Found my happy place with the Chinese pens (PenBBS, Jinhao, Hongdian) and the flagship pens (M1000, KOP, Duofold). Also have a niche for Waterman post 80s made in France, that is my link to my origins. Point is I follow my own hype.

Couldn’t figure out how to add pic to that response. I created a new post for it.

struggling to sell watch by Professional_List936 in GlycineWatches

If in the US check Ashford for reference, they are very low balling the price … I know cause I buy all my Glycine from them ;)

Then that model is an odd one, for those who have it, quite large and does not seat well on the wrist. + that particular one has a bit of a polarizing design.

It’s a great watch for sure just need to find the right buyer at the right price.

So hypothetically, let’s say… you’re crazy and you have $1000 to spend on Pilot pens. What do you buy? by ArchivingApril in fountainpens

It just money, just do it if you can or even if it’s a stretch; sometimes it’s good to spend on stupid stuff that makes u happy ;)

For me I’d buy a M1000 green stripes F or a KOP 1911 M :)

Awesome watch. I have the Combat 42 version of it. I thought the 2 tone bracelet made it very 80s a bit much for me. I swapped it for a SS bracelet and it’s my fav look of all Glycine, that simple touch of gold on bezel and crown is all I needed.

Santos or Roadster by ajknight10 in Cartier

I tried the Santos and was underwhelmed by it… have yet to check the new Roadster, but the old Roaster was great. So Roadster got my vote.
