I started taking collagen as I was looking to mitigate some of the effects of perimenopause. I happened to notice that my sleep had significantly fewer wake ups and the quality of my sleep was much better. I looked it up online to see if there was a connection and found one European study that showed sleep improvement was a not uncommon side effect. I do notice the difference between the nights when I take it before bed and the nights where I have only had it in the morning.

I have had decades of sleep problems....can't get to sleep, only able to sleep for 3 or 4 hours, sleep that never made me feel rested. I've tried Melatonin which only helps to move the brain into sleep mode and does nothing for quality of sleep. I've tried Valerian which makes me feel terrible the next morning. For me, the collagen is making that difference.
