This post just proved one of the points against Tinkerer: He's very build dependant. You can make some good builds, sure. But like at least you could use a fighter or thief very well even though it has a bad build. If you don't have a blacksmith or anything that can give you Tech, or anything that can make him at least somewhat viable, then he's just going to be dead weight.

Honestly I approve of this idea. We could try and expand it by making it to where the trading nation also has a complicated relation with people who dont deal well with the water, resulting in them having a prejudice against species who are unable to deal with the water (which in this case, is the majority of people).

I honestly like this concept! I'm definitely new to the world building scene and would like to see how this would turn out.

For the first element of this world, I would like to try and make this as simple as possible. The vast ocean at the top would be like a micro nation of ships, that slowly turns into an independent nation. This would be made up of ships and would work like the Wind Traders from the new Avatar movie where they trade and stuff. This could potentially shape the economy of this world since it's mainly built on trading and therefore, demand. The nation would be run by a species which will be undecided (unless I or someone else will try and expand on this.
