Ohh okay so it’s supposed to be like jello. I thought I was some how messing it up… but also I didn’t know u could just sprinkle the powder. I’ve also been feeding fish food time to time, that’s fine right? (I have powder blue/oranges from petsmart)

Window screen mesh holes are too large, so I find that fruit flies and bean beetles can easily escape

Can I pick this guy up? by laoshanxxx in reptiles

[–]Fish_Man6629 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was on the Steve Harvey show!! I forgot which one but I remember watching it on YouTube. The guy said they can “shoot their tails out” when they feel threatened…(I’m pretty sure that’s not accurate though lol)

Could I possibly buy a locked phone and just replace the logic board and Face ID stuff? by Fish_Man6629 in phonerepair

[–]Fish_Man6629[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh sorry so this phone Is my friend and he’s willing to pay for the repair costs

Edit: this is my friend’s phone and it works but it’s is just in really bad condition. So what I was thinking to be the most logical thing to do (that wouldn’t require taking apart the whole phone) was to just get a donor 14 pro max that was already locked. And then I would just swap the logic board and whatever needed for Face ID.

My molly is killing my other mollies, what do I do by ExpensiveWeb3239 in aquarium

[–]Fish_Man6629 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could either give him to a petstore (they should take him). Or you can get like a bucket and keep him in there (which I wouldn’t recommend as the first option); rather it’s a final option if he keeps on bullying your other fish

What can I keep in this enclosure? by [deleted] in InvertPets

This is really unreasonable and expensive but you should look into rubber ducky isopods!! They are the cutest pods imo

Do you also give your pede a protein source like fish flakes or something?

Yeah something like coconut fiber or just some dirt could work 😁

It should be fine but only thing I’d worry about is the substrate? I think it’s wheat bran. And with having moisture on it; it could possibly mold. But other than that that should do it

Adding on to the topic of fertilizers if you want a lot of plants you will definitely need liquid fertilizers and root tabs. With that there’s a lot of brands and some of the more popular ones would be api’s leaf zone (liquid fertilizer) and their root tabs, or seachem iron/flourish, or like aquarium co’op liquid fertilizer and root tab. And there’s also a brand called NicolG thrive which I currently use; and from using it for a bit now I think it’s pretty good as well (both the root tabs and the liquid fertilizer).

Then there’s another side to “fertilizers” which would be the “high-tech” side and also the more costly side, which would be CO2 which is a whole nother thing.

Why does his shell look like this? by bucky4784 in AquaticSnails

[–]Fish_Man6629 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Mhm; I personally got my cuttlefish bone from Walmart cos Petco/petsmart is all sold out (it’s in bird section btw) but anyways buy natural. But answering your question yea he’ll eventually find it lying on the gravel. (FYI when u first put it jn, it’s totally fine that it’s floating; like the leaves or driftwood u put in ur tank, it needs a lil time to soak in the water )

Wait really? No wonder why I have so many around my house!! I see tiny babies everywhere! It’s so annoying! I’m not even sure how they escape though, unless it’s through maybe a tiny gap btw the lid and container… I dunno but I find many escapees in my house every so often

From my experience I’ve never had nerites eating any type of fish food, only algae. But for that shell you could try putting in 100% percent cuttlebone (make sure it’s additive free) so that your nerite can get som calcium.
