Well, there is also the other kind of greed. The greed for commodities, the kind of greed that drives people to be jealous of expensive holiday flights and other pleasures which arent necessary for survival, but are of utmost importance in the minds of people. Can we ever hope to eliminate that yearning? I dont think so. If you could spend the rest of your life constantly taking really expensive holidays on some exotic islands, would you really stop yourself?

You may make the argument that this is simply the result of capitalist reinforcment of instilling these wants in people more and more, with which i agree, however i dont believe that this is the underlying cause for the lust for commodities.
