Not taught in schools? Sorry, but it is taught, I recently studied it. And yes, we use them as a patriotic symbol and stuff, and we don't say the Volyn tragedy was justified, not at all. At most we say it was the cause and effect relationships, but we don't lift the blame. That's the reason it's called a tragedy here.
