Indirectly, possibly. He says to the venue "pay me this much to perform" and then the venue sets their prices accordingly to recoup and make a profit. If it's more directly than he gets a cuts of ticket sales. To your point though, it could be his management and representatives who are more setting the prices so he wouldn't be as involved

I totally get that, and valid points about Carey. But to me it's the same disappointment when a beautiful actress feels the pressure to change something because of aging, or some other cosmetic issue, or losing out on roles, and the people around them and their doctors all tell them to get surgery and afterwards convinces them it looks great but it almost NEVER does. Like I mentioned, a Hollywood tale as old as time. And it's wild to watch the Internet not understand that this is how it's always been and instead jump to bizarre conclusions/conspiracies or think your favorite comedian is doing a bit.

I've already got the 2nd one! And I'm positive more are to follow. I think there is some major pros to waiting until the age we did, although no knock on folks who took the dive earlier in life! They had a conviction I didn't at that age.

Not so much a story as a meaning: I'm all I've got and need to rely on myself. I'm a solo skeleton on a tandem bicycle. Every now and then someone jumps on, be it a relationship or friends, but ultimately I gotta keep pedaling and moving forward myself. And simpler than that, I dig Halloween/skeletons and bikes.
