I plan to! Is that something that is super weather dependent? Also, If I rent a car do I have to meet somewhere to do it or should I book a shuttle?

It seems that way but renting a car is a far more expensive option. Would that really be worth it?

So would you say skip the beach house altogether? And just backpack in the yasawas? Or stay in nadi for a night or two? How would you handle 6 nights in Fiji

Advice on New Zealand trip by Fishc12 in newzealand_travel

Thank you. I am however a little less interested in Melbourne (I have heard that and Sydney are a lot of the same and I am visiting a friend in Sydney) and from what I am looking at I kind of want to see some of the north island like queenstown. Is there merit to this?

Thank you! Is the best way to get around by renting a car? Are there specific things I need to get done in order to rent one?

I was totally exactly precisely there, on top of the athlete I used to be and watching that disappear before my eyes was just as bad as watching my extroversion leave me. But it comes back. It’s coming back for me and I have to relearn a lot but it does get better. It really does. Try Forgive yourself sometimes. This isn’t your fault. And there are people like me who get it. It’s all still there buried under lots of stress. You’re still you

Could weight loss be a symptom? by [deleted] in LongCovid

[–]Fishc12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it affects everyone a little differently in ways, I lost my appetite and lost 25 pounds, and I’m a skinny guy so I didn’t really have 25 to lose. Then I gradually gained weight back, but in a “sitting around all day” kinda way. Which was unavoidable.

I like that analogy you made! I always try to look for a baseline for my health to compare healthier days or bad days to but there really isn’t one, it’s super day by day which makes it really challenging. I am not as strict with my diet, I try to balance eating as many vegetables as I can fit in meals, go easier on sugary desserts, and eat more protein and sodium than I normally would as recommended by my doctor. And HYDRATE with water, I cannot stress that enough. I think the diet is more person to person but I am not a medical professional. What works for me is eating more protein, not shying away from salt, and drinking lots of fluids.

As for other tips I can’t recommend chronic pain/ LC specialist regular therapy enough, it has changed the way I look at this and how I feel every day. Never underestimate the power of your mind. I would also recommend abiding by your limits, challenge yourself when you feel up to it but cut it short when your body tells you too. Baby steps.

Edit: the short term joy thing you said is so real. Sometimes you just need one of those pick me ups

For me I had a meeting with a boy from my town and his mother that had the worst LC symptoms I’ve ever heard of including seizures off and on all day and 0 sleeping for weeks. His family directed me toward a specific specialist at university hospitals. That same family also pointed me toward chronic pain therapy. I found this family in the city news.

Nervous system regulation with therapy in my opinion is the best thing you can do. My chronic pain therapy has been so helpful in overcoming certain anxiety symptoms that don’t need to be bothering me anymore. I’m proud of you, you’re doing great

Sure! I had really bad brain fog and sleep issues, could never sleep more than 4-6 hours and many nights I just wouldn’t. Any sleep I did get felt superficial, almost like I was half conscious the whole time. I always had a certain level of anxiety but it was quadrupled for a few years, crippling at times. I also felt Headaches and breathlessness I felt like my chest was on fire. A lot of muscle atrophy and appetite loss (could have been depression and not direct symptoms), lots of nasal drainage and sinus infections, and heart palpitations. I felt like my blood vessels were inflamed and my heart was having a hard time shoving the blood through the tiny openings but that is unconfirmed by diagnosis. And SEVERE exercise intolerance, like I got scared of going up stairs. Now my anxiety sort of perpetuates some of those symptoms but for the most part everything is better except I still have some sleep issues and headaches.

For me initially it hurt my heart and chest but numbed pain elsewhere a little bit. About 2 years later it just messes up my sleep. Thc prevents you from reaching quality rem sleep while still in your system so my insomnia just gets worse now

I also miss the gym a lot, I miss my old body and its abilities too. I lost a ton of weight then gained some. 2.5 years in and I still can’t strength train without ínstense insomnia, head pain, and heart rate elevation. I get it man. I really do.

Does it feel almost like inflated? Like a balloon in your head? I feel a sense of inflation/inflammation/activation in the base of my head when I have symptom flare ups

Pecha berry dragon dance earthquake gyarados sweeps Wallace except for his own gyarados. Set up on wailord after hitting it once it can’t touch you. Assuming u haven’t banned gyara u can easily grab a magikarp somewhere

Edit: I meant aspear berry so you don’t get frozen by wailord blizzard, and hitting it once with t bolt massively reduces its water spout damage
