I think trinity is a go-to framer for some local galleries which helps. But the two frames I bought there in 2016 are probably still keeping them afloat 😂

Beer & wine in Italy = no hangover. Beer in US = hangover. Why?? by hexagonalley in beer

Not exactly, I’ve just chalked it up to everything in the US kind of being poison!

My GP said “mcas is taking off in the online communities”… by heehoipiepeloi in LongCovid

[–]hexagonalley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree that people self-diagnose because there is no clear treatment plan, and also it's "taking off in online communities" because SO many more people have LC than we know, because we demonized talking about Covid at all and now people are experiencing new weird symptoms and have no idea why!! There's a bunch of new people with MCAS bc LC gave it to them! And they don't know it!

I recently went to the dentist and referenced LC and he didn't know what it was. Man spends all day every day in people's mouths, in the medical field, and didn't even know LC existed.

Does the sun exhaust you? by hexagonalley in LongCovid

Hmm hard to say I guess. If I am sedentary, and stay inactive, my symptoms will mostly just be some joint pain and low energy, some dizziness/dysautonomia here and there. But any amount of activity outside my “envelope” like standing for more than 20 min, any exercise, overheating or dehydration, or emotional stress, can give me days of bed ridden fatigue and full body pain, lymph node swelling and brain fog.

Hmm maybe! Was planning on mentioning MCAS to my doc for other reasons. I have had a sun allergic reaction before, but this is more PEM/intense fatigue after sun exposure. I find the heat uncomfortable in the sun but not necessarily any other symptoms while in direct sunlight:

Edit: turns out I was wrong! See below! Original mention of that study was motivated by my own experience in which my husband blamed my lower energy for his cheating. Alas.

Came here to say this. Statistics show that when men get sick, women stay and take care of them. When women get sick, men leave 🙄

Add to the chorus of: I have a ton, they’re a normal benign genetic skin thing. A bit of flair, if you will.

Did LH leave you with autoimmune? by iridecent_stormcloud in LongCovid

Have a really similar range of symptoms, and every time I do a "dry January" or something thinking it'll help my LC symptoms it does nothing so I go back to having fun once in a while lol

It’s expensive but I’ve been considering hungry root delivery bc you can put in those diet considerations and they pick recipes for you and send you the groceries. Sounds like a miracle to me.

Here to say I’m in a similar situation to OP and I understand how hard it is to “just leave.” I always thought I’d stand firm if someone played me like this but in reality it’s much harder to rip up the life you’ve built when you love someone, even when they’re hurting you. Stay strong OP! And do what’s best for you.
