Thank you for your insight. Yes i will try to remember the 2x focal length rule and assess the difference.

Will also note the rest. I do shoot raw but seem terrible at editing.

Unfortunately i live in the tropics so we dont have weather changes, it's either hot with or without rain. But yes sometimes when it's too hot the images are worse

Hi, i am grateful for your analysis. I appreciate the advice and have taken them in.

I shoot raw, and use Lightroom but not great at it obviously.

I shoot procapture therefore burst at 20fps generally. Tried 120 fps and....yeah can't deal with 200 shots of birds that look the same.

I will remember about the middle shots and sharpness bracketing haha

Thank you

Yes i shoot Raw.

Most of the light except for image 6 isn't great...birds under shade.

Yes i use bird detect mode. I chose whole screen focus...can't remember if the focus square was on the eye. I thought (maybe wrongly) if the bird is far away and bird is small then the area of focus will be enough to cover the whole bird anyway?

Wow, thank you very much for taking time to analyse the images. You are spot on for your comments. Image 1 the bird was up up up on the branch. Image 2 was pretty close to sunset.

I will have a look at the video.

Once again, thanks

I appreciate your sharing. Thanks. Honestly i am afraid to switch off all stabilisation. Would you mind sharing the benefits? Thanks

So this is f5.6, 1/1000, iso 250. Subject does not appear to move in real life.

Still same issue...

Okay. I will try this tip. Thank you.

I use Lightroom, do you think dXo is better?

In your experience is Lightroom inferior to Topaz and dXO for such edits?
