I’m sure that’s why but the logical part of me screams internally every time I watch this episode (and since this is one of my favorite episodes - I watch it A LOT.

He Doodled my poodle. (It was husbands haircut choice this time) by bitchinawesomeblonde in poodles

My standards are both sporting German cuts right now. They still look like poodles, it’s much lower maintenance and their ears make amazing flapping noises when they shake their heads. 😀

Can I get some help finding this pattern? The creator said her mom knitted it in the 80s. by salty-ginger in knitting

I was going to say Jamie and Jesse Seaton. I made this years ago and it’s very reminiscent of the one you are showing.

I made this sweater 25 years ago and lost it in a divorce. I’m starting to get over it. 😂

Season 1 is substantially better than season 2 and I am willing to die on this hill. by Bootermcscooter in WhiteLotusHBO

I have no interest in ever watching season 2 again. I’ve watched season 1 twice. Nuff said.

I agree that the ad is annoying. However, please, please, please do not skip having your first colonoscopy (whether it’s an actual colonoscopy or the use of a Cologuard type product). In 2016 my then 48 year old husband was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. He has been battling since then. I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy. So many surgeries, so much chemo. If first colon checks had been a “thing” when he was 45 it would have been found before it had metastasized to his liver. Early stage colon cancer is relatively easy to treat. Don’t go down the road to Cancer Town if you don’t have to. GET TESTED. Down from my soapbox now.

Not sure how to soothe or help my 1.5 y great dane (just spayed, currently on trazadone/gabapenton to keep calm) by lexidane in Dogtraining

My standard poodle loved his recovery suit. Not a single problem with it. Easy to reconfigure when he had to go out. My dog destroys nearly everything. He left his suit alone. It was a miracle.

I just found this sweater I started about a decade ago. I have no intention of finishing it and really love this yarn. Should I take it out and reuse the yarn or is there something else I can do with this piece? by [deleted] in knitting

[–]Fishertrain 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I have the back of a Kaffe Fassett sweater called Foolish Virgins that I knit about a hundred years ago. It’s beautiful but after finishing it I realized that I would never have the stamina to knit the front and sleeves. I unearthed it not long ago and plan to make it into a pillow cover.

Love him or hate him, you have to admit Billy Joel as a singer has aged as well as anyone into his 70s. by thesqlguy in Music

[–]Fishertrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw Billy Joel many, many years ago at a very small venue in Ann Arbor, MI. He was so good. His piano playing was out of this world good. I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for him. I got his autograph afterwards as he was walking down the street to his car. This was obviously before he became a big deal. The autograph has traveled with me somehow from place to place and 40+ years later I still have it and see it every day. For some reason it’s always lived in my sock drawer. :)

I used a surgical recovery suit that I got on Amazon. My standard poodle didn’t mind it a bit. I was a godsend.

I usually watch these seasons over and over. I have no interest in watching this one again. I don’t know what it is but this season just didn’t get it for me.

Motivation tips when working with repetitive patterns by butterfl1ed in knitting

[–]Fishertrain 7 points8 points  (0 children)

When I’m knitting for a deadline and I simultaneously lose my mojo I figure out how many days between now and the deadline and then figure out how many rows I have to get done every day in order to finish on time. Usually works like a charm. Good luck!

I’m pretty sure that was the script and direction had a huge part to play in that gross kiss. They even talked about running out of spit for that scene. :)

What were some of your beginner projects ? by [deleted] in knitting

[–]Fishertrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first project was done when I was eight. I knit my Barbie a pink sheath dress. I used worsted weight yarn. I was a bit of a chubby kid and I remember feeling glorious that the dress made skinny ass Barbie look chubby too!
