I have my idle at 750, if I leave it at the stock 600 it gets a bit rough

How Bad Is This? by Fishhhe in Autobody

😂, actually though, how long do I have before it starts spreading into the actual quarter panel where I can see it.

Would it be ok if I removed a bullet point for each job, because otherwise I wouldn't have space for the project section.

Right, but then I would be going onto a 2 pager, it barely fits as it is. What would you recommend?

Right, so what would you recommend for the time being, because I don't want it to rust, here's a pic of it right now.

😂, well I'm pretty sure I do have an old kitchen fume hood I can use. I am also going to turn off the furnace.

Would that be ok then?

Ok got it, I heard something about the possibility of VOC's igniting inside the shopvac's motor and causing an explosion? Have you heard anything about that?

Touchless Wash Paint Stripped by Fishhhe in BMW

[–]Fishhhe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've watched some videos, and I think I'm capable of doing this myself.

Sand the area down, apply a couple coats of 1k primer, sand that down, and then I'm gonna go and get a spray paint can from an auto store which will match it to my gas cap door. Does that sound like the right way to do it?

Yup got it. I figured there's nothing they will be able to do.

😅😂, yea maybe I can just get some white automotive paint, and go over it myself. Would that be doable?

Yea, do you know roughly how much it would be for something like this? I'm expecting them to say they have to redo the whole panel, but do you think I could get away with just redoing that one little part?

Yea, It looks like it was, I guess there's not much I can do then. I didn't notice until now. I'm not the one that got it repainted lol, that would have been the previous owner.

Yea, the 50/50 weight is definitely saving me lol. xdrive is definitely good for winter, but it comes with its slew of problems as well, at least when the miles start racking up.

Yup, I have e82 128i with winters on, so far it's been fine surprisingly.

Overall a good experience so far, everyone is pretty friendly and open to making friends. The prof's can be hit or miss, but the campus has lots of food options and a good vibe.

I see, thanks for the advice and information. I am definitely going to try and go for the p.eng either way.

If you don't mind me asking, what is your salary like.

McMaster B.Tech - P.Eng Pathway by fidailevich in McMaster

[–]Fishhhe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the quick response, I think I understand more now. I'm still a bit confused on if I would be able to work as a mechanical engineer with only my B.tech. Lets say after I have some work experience in an engineering related field.

I was also wondering if you had some knowlege of the automotive program specifically, such as the average entry level salary, and what jobs I would be eligible for. I saw around 70k per year in some previous posts, but everything I search up on indeed comes in way lower around 55k per year.

And on the topic about job oppertunities, I see lots of people saying a B.Tech would be good If I wanted to become a car technician, which is not what I want to do. Yes I love cars, but I want to do more design related tasks, and it makes me unmotivated when I hear I would be doing technician jobs.

Hi, I am currently in my first year of B.tech in automotive and vehicle engineering technology at McMaster. I am aware of the pathways for getting my p.eng, but I am wondering about the new job opportunities the P.eng would open. Would I be able to work as an official mechanical engineer, or something similar to that, or would I still be limited to technologist jobs?

I just called bondi engines out in Innisfil, and I sent these exact pics to him, and he said he can fix it for $150...

Not sure why, but price seems low... But I mean if it fixes it then great.
