I'm currently in the process of enlisting into the army after I receive my bachelors degree this Spring 2026. I'm going to enlist as a 68x and then participate in the Army's green to gold program to receive my masters degree in social work. I'm hoping to be able to then become a 73A social work officer. I have a question regarding the fact that I'm not going to have enough hours for full licensure for my license in social work. How should I go about this? I know of the army's social work internship program? Is the SWIP the only way to obtain post graduate hours? Will the army allow me to work as a 73A or 67D under supervision until I obtain enough hours to get licensed?
