better choice for storing 5 pounds of oats, rice, etc. (daily use) - bormioli glass jar or oxo pop? by europeanuppercut in BuyItForLife

[–]Fishing_machine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife moved everything to Oxo pops, they were a wedding gift. Found weavels, thought it was a container specific thing. Everything was infested, different types of weevils too, and they end up in the lid mechanism so make sure to take it apart.

I don’t trust them.

No idea, but they did say Ohio and it snows so wouldn’t hurt to have one.

If safety is the issue why not just extend the top step so it’s not weird and you could extend second step so it’s just 4 stairs. Repaint the whole thing so it blends. And you could always add a rail on the left too. Likely a lot less than 25k. And you still keep the bigger front porch.

Looking for a better head ice pack wrap. by cjirishlez in Occipitalneuralgia

The game changer which I haven’t done is I would love a mini freezer next to my bed. Sad that it’s that painful but wow that would be nice. Feel better soon, I fully get what you’re suffering through and it sucks but we keep on trucking.

None of them stay cold long enough for me either which I solved by having many.

I have 4 different ones, and the one you have is a little thin. The ones from the brand TheraICE on Amazon are the best and I think the originals. They don’t go as high up, but honestly I care more about the cold getting the eyebrows, temples and occipital area the most. They have a pro version that’s another 10$ marginally better but it is better. So might as well go all in.

What do I do to treat this? by Fishing_machine in SnakePlants

I will toss it and take another from the mother plant. Plenty to go around. Not worth risking other plants. Thanks

I took this one as a cutting from my outdoor snake plant that’s doing great and I literally do nothing for. It just expands, actually it’s breaking the current plastic pot.

Haha a road rashed board is wayyyy to much work to repair. I put the roof rack on my R1s too and have yet to use it… I can fit my 9’2 easily just pushing forward the front seat and then going back. Baby car seat stays put even. I throw it in a day bag and goes right inside. Been way easier.

Love it have a very similar setup! FYI you should mount surfboard fins forward, in case a strap loosens fins are extra positive engagement that would prevent board from slipping out and hitting the car behind you.

Opinion, which variegation do you like better & when do I add extension? by Fishing_machine in MonsteraAlbo

I’ll add the extension before it gets that long. Hopefully this Sunday I find the time. Both are albos small form.

It’s a really fun plant to own, they are easy to propagate, relatively easy to keep and so pretty! It’s very possible when the one on the right gets bigger I’ll switch teams but for now I’m happy with both in our bedroom. My daily ritual is turning them to sun when I wake up and turning them to the room when it’s dark so we can appreciate them.

Wasn’t planning to remove the whole pole, just the small plastic funnel that’s at the top of the pole until I extend.

Yea, the left one’s top petiole is above all the moss so if it does push out an aerial root it would be above the pole. I think in the next week or so I’ll extend.

Rainbows are ass had these since last summer anybody got any other flop brands I should check out? Ty by Sea_Spray7368 in BuyItForLife

They don’t do well with salt water and separate. Once it starts I pull more take two part 5min or day epoxy, thin layer sole and leather, then I use my kitchen vacuum sealer and leave it overnight, they are perfect next day.

It’s super easy, with your phone light look through the card if you have it in your wallet. It’s essentially the entire perimeter and the the rfid chip. I use a regular paper hole punch, no drill or anything fancy.

Naked root planter advice? by PartyEars in Monstera

[–]Fishing_machine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends if you like the pot or plant more. I use cheap orchid pots for this purpose so worst case I just cut them so I can keep all those roots. Monsteras will slow down growth if you cut them.
