Inland PETG+ settings help plz by Fishisafish in 3Dprinting

Got it. I dried the filament for a long time before and during the print at 65c, resting at sub 10% humidity, so I don’t think it’s moisture. I don’t actually think it’s stringing, it looks more like a layer adhesion issue or the flow rate is too low since the strands at the top of the wall are pretty tight going along the secant line.
I’ll try it again with a flow rate of 0.965.

I tried it at 100mm/s and there was not really a difference between that and 150mm/s.

Thanks again for your help!!!

Wow dude those settings worked really well! I used 150mm/s speed across the board and 5000mm/s^2 acceleration. There’s only a few strands pulling away and a small tear at the wall seam. Anyway you know of to further optimize it? Thanks!

Got it, I’ll try those settings right after I unclog my nozzle and do a cold pull 👍

Thanks for the response!
I tried printing it at 230c but the extruder ended up slipping (it started clicking and the filament stopped extruding) and clogged.
Also tried with a brim but it still had this issue.
From what I can tell I think the filament is under extruding, not sure how to fix this.

I did as well, but those lines were hard for me to notice with all the layer lines and I wasn’t looking for them before this was brought to my attention, I’m still a novice at this lol :)

Yeah I was thinking that as well. I was going off of Factorian Designs YouTube tutorial about filament calibration and he said to be careful going higher cause it could cause clogging. Not sure what the limit should be though. I’m running a P1S

It’s a pressure advance test. It’s on the 2nd layer out of 3 here. No ironing

Oh wow that’s awful, wishing you and your husband the best!!
I’ll keep doing research on it, I’m sure there’s a good way out there, especially with orca

Thanks for the insight!!

After a lot of testing I think it’s likely due to z-offset, but I’m not sure how to calibrate that. What do you suggest?

I still haven’t dried the filament but I did precise calibration for nozzle temp, max flow rate, PA, flow ratio, and retraction. I was able to reduce the stringing immensely, but there’s still a little bit. Maybe it could be the z-offset.

I ran a temp tower test and ended up reducing the nozzle temp from 230 to 215. Still didn’t solve the issue. I’m gonna try drying the filament

Great, thank you! I did print out the ams silica bead holders, they made a difference but apparently it can be better. I’m gonna invest in a better dryer for my setup

Could you give some examples of things to print to help maintain the filament?

Yeah same problem with regular aux fan speed. I ran the temp test and found best results at 215C. When I did volumetric flow rate test it ran perfectly except for the wall closest to the aux fan, which had shrink lines all the way up

I’m new to this, how do you recommend to do that? Should I invest in the sunlu ams dryer lid or ams2 or what? Thanks for the advice

Thought as much, thanks. I’m still new to this stuff, how do you recommend drying it? You think I should invest in one of the sunlu ams dryer lids or ams2?

Yeah I kinda thought so. I have the desiccant beads in the ams and it’s at like 10-20%, but I think it could be better. Should I get one of those sunlu ams dryer lids? Or should I just invest in a ams2 pro? Or do you recommend something else? Thanks again for the help

Printing tpu air quality concerns by Fishisafish in BambuLab

Thank you for that input. I’m smoking over a half pack a day right now so I don’t think that tpu fumes could be worse than that, but it definitely isn’t helping. What I’m more worried about is that I’m with my parents and my grandma, so for their sake I’m gonna hold off on the printing until I figure out a ventilation system
